Uday Saharan (India Captain): "Just like the wickets were falling, they bowled beautifully and we were falling well behind the game. But just the emotions came out in the end. To be honest, I was just telling the non-striker to bat till the end. We never let the environment get worse in the dressing room. It's a great feeling. It was a great match. It was a close-fought game. I'm feeling good because we have reached the final under my leadership."
Juan James (South Africa Captain): "For me, I think we let ourselves down with the ball. We had them 3 down and then Uday and Sachin batted really well. With the bat, we were slow in the middle overs. I think middle overs let us down in the tournament. My Dad used to play like this. Take the game deep, Hit the big shots towards the end and not before that.
When I came in, ball was bouncing and cutting. I had to play cautiously. When the ball became older, the pitch settled in and it became easier for us as we went along.

9:20 PM IST and 5:50 PM Local Time: Phew! What a semi-final this turned out to be. After all the chaos for 8 odd hours, it's India, the defending champions, who have made it to the final, defeating the hosts in a nail-biting thriller by 2 wickets with just 7 balls to spare!
Earlier in the day, India won the toss and opted to bowl first. Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Steve Stolk did start with positive intents, but Raj Limbani bowled brilliantly to reduce the home side to 2/46 inside the Powerplay. Pretorius and Richard Seletswane added 72 runs for the third wicket, but it was the Indian spinners who had a stranglehold on the opposition with some tight bowling.
Both hit half-centuries, with the former being the aggressor, while the latter was struggling in his first half of the innings. Musheer Khan broke this stand with Murugan Abhishek snapping a stunner to dismiss Pretorius on 76 off 102 balls.
Seletswane (64 off 100) continued and pressed on the accelerator and got decent support from Oliver Whitehead (22 off 34), and skipper Juan James (24 off 19) got the momentum in the Proteas innings. The real impetus was given by Tristan Luus, who smacked an unbeaten 23 off 11 balls to propel South Africa to 244/7 in 50 overs.
For India, Limbani picked up three wickets, while Musheer Khan grabbed two wickets. Naman Tiwari and Saumy Pandey took a wicket each.
South Africa stunned India with Kwena Maphaka bouncing out Adarsh Singh for a golden duck, following which Tristan Luus (3/37) dismissed three Indian batters to reduce them to 4/32.
Sachin Dhas and Uday Saharan soaked in all the pressure and rebuilt the innings with a massive partnership of 171 for the 5th wicket. Both hit half-centuries. Dhas struck 96 off 95 balls, hitting 11 boundaries and one six, while Saharan almost batted through the chase, amassing 81 off 124 balls, with 6 fours.
It looked like India would go past the finishing line easily, but Maphaka had other ideas. He removed Dhas four short of his well-deserved hundred while also bouncing out Aravelly Avanish in his final ball of the day, finishing with figures of 3/32.

4 FOURRRR!!!! Raj Limbani seals the deal for India! They are in the finals. The defending champions can now celebrate after ending on the right side of a riveting semi-final. Full and outside the off-stump. Clears his front leg, and Limbani smashes a drive between mid-off and extra cover. No need to run for that. It runs away to the fence, and once again, a South African team loses in a World Cup Semi-Final! The Indian players are over the moon and breathe a sigh of relief!

W WHAT WAS THAT FROM UDAY SAHARAN? Short and hurrying onto the batter's body at the stumps. Saharan is late on the pull and gloves it. The ball lobs up and falls in front of square leg in the ring. They run for the single, which wasn't there. A loopy throw at the bowler's end, Mokoena collects it somehow as the throw was awkward but does well to remove the bails with the Indian skipper well short of his ground. OUT! Saharan played well for that patient knock but an unnecessary urgency has made him fall prey.
