That's a wrap from our side as well, folks! Unfortunately, Birmingham Phoenix Women and Manchester Originals Women couldn't complete their final game in the Women's Hundred 2024 due to rain. Hopefully, the weather clears up for the Men's Hundred, which is next at this venue—a crucial match for the Phoenix as they aim to secure direct qualification for the final.

For now, this is Deepak Prakash signing off on behalf of co-commentator Ajay Pal Singh and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. CHEERS!
The league stage of the Women's Hundred is done and dusted, with the final game abandoned due to persistent rain.

Welsh Fire Women topped the league table with 11 points from eight games, securing direct qualification for the grand finale of the event, courtesy of their superior net run rate (+0.334) over Oval Invincibles (+0.017), who finished second on the points table, also with 11 points from eight games.

London Spirit Women are the third team to qualify for the playoffs, finishing with 9 points from eight games. They will face Oval Invincibles in the eliminator on August 17 (Saturday).
9:40 PM IST & 17:10 Local Time: That’s a wrap for this game. Persistent rain in Birmingham led to a no-result in the last league-stage fixture of the Women’s Hundred competition. It was a dead-rubber anyway, as both teams were already out of contention for the top three.

Earlier in the game, after opting to bat first, Birmingham Phoneix Women had posted 98 off 70 balls for the loss of two wickets.

Birmingham skipper Ellyse Perry was unbeaten on 45 off 39 balls, while Amy Jones was not out on 13 off 12 when the rain forced the officials to take the players off the field.

Perry and Sterre Kalis put on 24 for the first wicket. Kalis scored 18 off 11 before perishing to Lauren Filer in the 5th set.

Fran Wilson joined her skipper in the middle and the duo added 32 runs for the second wicket before Wilson miscued a lofted drive to short extra cover. She fell for 14 off 11.

Lauren Filer and Phoebe Graham picked one wicket apiece. Alice Monaghan bowled two waist-high full tosses in a single set and was taken off the attack.

With six sets left in the innings, the players went off but it continued to pour down at Edgbaston and the match was called off. Both teams shared a point each as they signed off with a draw. With this no-result, the league stages are done and dusted in the Women's Hundred competition. The next game between Birmingham Phoenix and Manchester Originals’ men's teams is unlikely to start on time, given the current condition of the ground.
9:37 PM IST, 17:07 Local Time: ABANDONED! Bad news, folks! The match has been called off due to persistent rain.
9:00 PM IST, 16:30 Local Time: The rain is persistent, and the covers remain firmly in place. For your information, it's been over 30 minutes, and we've started losing balls.

Ian Ward, on air, has just stated that the max they are targeting is a 25-ball chase for the Manchester Originals Women, the target is not known yet. The covers are still on and there's hardly any movement on the ground. The cut-off time for a 25-ball match is 17:38 Local Time/10:08 PM IST.
8:35 PM IST, 16:05 Local Time: The scenes are not looking promising, folks! It's pelting down at the moment. The groundsmen rush in with more covers to protect the whole square area. We will start losing balls 30 minutes after the rain interruption.
8:21 PM IST & 3:51 PM Local Time: Rain has gotten heavier. The umpires have taken the stumps off. The players are going off.
