That's it from day 2 of the Women's Hundred competition. London Spirit kick starting with a win. That will be it from our coverage as well. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Heather Knight (POTM and London Spirit Women Captain): "It was fun. The wind was playing a big part. I tried to use it to my advantage and hit it with the wind in the last set. Winning here against them is hard thing to do and happy with the win.

I thought they got 10-15 runs more. We dropped a couple of chances. Danni played a brilliant knock. We managed to stick in the game till the end and proud of the girls.

Get myself going. You can try to over hit at the start of the innings. But I just tried to use the pace of the wicket once I got going. It paid off. Redmayne was also brilliant at the top of the order. She gave us the perfect start we required while chasing this total."

10:09 PM IST, 5:39 PM Local Time: The London Spirit women are off the mark in their first game of the season defeating Southern Brave by 6 wickets thanks to a match winning captain's knock from Heather Knight.

Spirit won the toss and opted to bowl first restricting Brave at 151/6 with Danni Wyatt scoring 59 off 35 deliveries and Erin Burns claiming 2/6 in 10 balls.

Opener Meg Lanning struggled to get going in the chase and fell for 12 to 16-year-old Tilly Corteen-Coleman (1/39) on the 14th ball. Cordelia Griffith was run out with Georgia Redmayne turning her back after calling for a single.

Redmayne scored 45 in 31 balls and held the innings together with skipper Knight who joined at the fall of second wicket and scored an unbeaten 65 in 31 balls hitting 9 fours and a maximum in her match winning effort.

Charli Knott (1/26) picked up a wicket alongside Corteen-Coleman with some exceptional economic bowling from Lauren Cheatle (0/19) and Lauren Bell (0/23). The in-form England and London Spirit skipper was unstoppable and despite the bowling effort which almost tilted the game in Brave's favor won the game for the London based side with 3 balls to spare.
97b G Adams to H Knight
4 FOUR RUNS! It's all over! 49 mph. Full and just outside the off stump. Knight advances down the track and launches it over the bowler's head. Long on is wide and has to run a long way to her left. Puts in a dive but fails to get a finger on the ball. Knight wins the game with a captain's knock for London Spirit!
Excellent placement and even better running between the wickets. 3 required from 4 now.
96b G Adams to H Knight
2 Over the wicket. Full on the off stump. Walks down the track once more and plays it in the leg side. Deep midwicket has some work to do running to her left, returns it but not before the batters head back for the second run.
A boundary on the final ball of the penultimate set. London Spirit require 5 runs from 5 balls. Brave skipper Georgia Adams to bowl the last set. She will be bowling to her opposite number.

4 FOU RURNS! The requirement just a run-a-ball now! 53 mph. Slower delivery on length and outside the off stump. Knight makes some room, takes a step outside the crease and charges a flat batted hit up and over mid off! Hammers it in the air and finds the vacant boundary.
9 required from 6 balls. The crowd is getting behind Bell here.
94b L Bell to H Knight
2 Full on middle and leg. Driven behind square in the off side. Knott at backward point chases it down in the deep, pulls back allowing just a couple of runs.
93b L Bell to E Burns
1 Slow, short and wide outside off. Cut away to Naomi Dattani at deep cover for 1. Brings Knight on strike.
92b L Bell to E Burns
0 53 mph. Length delivery outside the off stump, no pace to work with. Burns ends up tapping back to Bell.
91b L Bell to H Knight
1 Over the wicket. 54 mph. Full on the leg stump. Uses her feet again and drives to mid off. Sharp single picked up.
