That brings an end to our coverage of this game. Do switch tabs as the match between Birmingham Phoenix and Northern Superchargers isn't far away. For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentator Pritam Dey and scorer Paras Yadav. Until next time, cheers and good bye.
Sam Curran (Hero of the Match): "Yeah it was a really good wicket to bat on. With the ball I felt like we bowled really well. We were just one wicket away every time and a couple of dots you will see the asking rate fly up.

I think the self believe in our players keep us in the game every time. This type of tournament being so quick and exciting, we are really pleased to get over the line this season."
Hero of the Match - Sam Curran
10:16 PM IST, 5:46 PM Local Time: That’s it. Sam Curran has done it for the Oval Invincibles. He defends seven in the last set. The Oval Invincibles beat the Manchester Originals by three runs. The Originals have choked yet again in the run chase. They have now lost five games in a row and are officially out of the Hundred 2024. The Invincibles, meanwhile, grab their fourth win of the competition and are looking unstoppable.

Chasing 165, the Manchester Originals got off to a wonderful start. Matthew Hurst hit some outstanding strokes and scored at a brisk rate. His skipper Philip Salt at the other end took his time to settle in. The Originals raced to 50 in just 24 balls. Hurst kept playing his strokes and looked solid at the crease. Salt also got going before getting cleaned up in the 11th set as the 89-run opening stand came to an end.

Hurst brought up his fifty off just 28 balls but fell on the next ball he faced. Wayne Madsen was joined by Paul Walter who started aggressively and hit some lusty blows. He played a cameo of 28 off 14 balls before holing out in the deep. Madsen struggled to get going and retired out on 14-ball 15. Sikandar Raza fell cheaply on one.

With 19 required from the last 10 balls, Jamie Overton found the fence and kept his side in the hunt. The Originals required seven runs from the last set. Overton departed caught behind on 14 on the very first ball. Usama Mir tried hard but some brilliant bowling from Sam Curran resulted in the Originals falling short by three runs. Adam Zampa and Sam Curran grabbed two scalps each as the Invincibles defended the total successfully and knocked the Originals out of the competition.

Earlier, the Oval Invincibles were asked to bat first and they got off to a flying start. Will Jacks came out all guns blazing and played some sensational strokes upfront. They scored 48 in the powerplay. The spinners helped the Originals pull back things after the powerplay. Jacks fell after scoring 20-ball 41. Malan (7) and Jordan Cox (14) failed to get going.

Sam Curran at three played some beautiful strokes and kept finding regular boundaries. He received good support from his skipper Sam Billings who scored 24 off 12 balls. Sam Curran hit a 38-ball 68 before falling in the last set as his knock powered the Invincibles to 164/8. He hit two fours and six maximums. Scott Currie, Usama Mir and Sikandar Raza picked up two wickets each for the Originals.

The Originals were cruising in the run-chase but it was the same old story for them. They failed to hold their nerves and fell short by three runs and got knocked out of the Hundred 2024.

W IN THE AIR AND TAKENNN!!! The Oval Invincibles have snatched it away from the Manchester Originals who have choked yet again in a run chase. Sam Curran does the job for his side defending just 7 runs in the final set. The entire Old Trafford has just been silenced as they are officially OUT OF THIS SEASON'S HUNDRED.

Talking about the ball, full toss pace on delivery wide outside off, Usama Mir shuffles across the stumps, gets under it, looking to go over the covers, mistimes it in the air and holes out in the deep at extra cover where the fielder settles under neath and takes a good catch under pressure. The Oval Invincibles win by 3 runs!
4 required from 1 now. Billings having a chat with Sam Curran. Here we go. Can Usama Mir take his side across the line?
99b S Curran to U Mir
2 Overpitched delivery wide outside off, Usama Mir gets deep inside his crease and drives it over covers for a couple of runs as the long off fielder cuts it down to a couple. 4 needed off 1 balls now.
A dot ball. 6 required from 2 now.
98b S Curran to U Mir
0 DOT BALL! Slower ball on a length wide outside off, Usama Mir shuffles far too across his stumps, looking to play the paddle scoop, misses. A really poor shot attempted by the Pakistan Leggie because the fine leg was back at the fence.
6 required from 3 now.
97b S Curran to M Holden
1 Fuller delivery at the stumps, yorker in the blockhole as Holden drills it down to mid off for a single.
