That's all we have for you from this clash between Welsh Fire and Oval Invincibles.

For now, this is Pritam Dey signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Anirudh Modi who, along with scorer/analysts Paras Yadav brought all the actions of this clash. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Sam Billings (Oval Invincibles Captain) : "It was a great win to be honest. These are the wins from which you will get a lot of confidence. Yeah I had a chat with the head coach because we struggled versus seam when we batted so I wanted to carry on with Spencer in the powerplay. It doesnt matter if he doesnt get me wickets, he kept things tight and I knew when Zampa came on we have a chance to pick a few couple of wickets.

When David Payne was striking the ball nicely, it was important for me to have a calm head and back the bowlers. Even everyone in the field were really active and it was a good day for us."
Adam Zampa (Match Hero): "We needed to start well and take early wickets to get the momentum going. Credit to Saqib and Spence to give us that start and we bowled well to follow that through the middle phases. We attacked up front and it became difficult for them to navigate 40 balls of leg spin through the innings.

There was probably not much pace in the wicket and it was real hard to score, it favored the spinners a lot. The conversation with Billings was to continue to pick wickets and make it easy for the guys bowling at the end."

01:51 IST & 9:21 PM Local Time | A low scoring thriller comes to an end as the Oval Invincibles have defeated the Welsh Fire by 10 runs. The defending champions have started off the season brilliantly winning both their games so far.

Earlier in the day, Oval Invincibles were put into bat by Tom Abell at their home ground. Invincibles did not get get off to a good start as they lost David Malan cheaply for a duck inside 15 balls.

Will Jacks got off to a flying start but couldn’t convert it into a big score as he was dismissed for 25. Donovan Ferreira (30 off 23) was the highest scorer in the Innings while Sam Curran (20 off 21) and Tawanda Muyeye (14 off 15) were the only four batters to reach double figures while the rest ended up in single digits.

Welsh Fire bowlers bowled brilliantly throughout the Innings as they restricted the Oval Invincibles to a below par total of 113/9 in their 100 balls. Jake Ball was the pick of the bowlers with figures off 3/24. Welsh Fire required 114 to chase in their 100 balls.

In reply, Welsh Fire got off to a horrid start with the bat as they were 19/2 in 26 balls. They started off watchfully against the new ball pair of Saqib Mahmood and Spencer Johnson and ended up losing two wickets inside 26 balls.

Then the two spinners Adam Zampa (3/24) and Nathan Sowter (2/12) ripped through the Welsh Fire middle order as they lost 5 wickets for 16 runs in the middle phase of the game.

A late cameo from David Payne brought them back into the game but it was not enough as Oval Invincibles successfully defended the score of 113.

Oval Invincibles have done the double tonight over Welsh Fire as both the men's as well as the women's have come out victorious for them.
