Well that's it for today folks! Join us back tomorrow as we bring you all the cricketing action from around the world LIVE!

Until then, this is Anirudh Modi, signing off along with my co-commentators AkshayaKrishna Polya, Deepak Prakash and our scorer/analyst Paras Yadav! See you on the next one!
Craig Overton (Hero of the Match): "It was a pretty good wicket. It did a bit with the new ball. We wanted to bowl tight lines and lengths. Bash the top of the off stump, hard lengths. Today, it came off.

I knew that those 3 bowlers (Tymal Mills, Jofra Archer and Chris Jordan) were quite pacey, and hence, the opposition would come at me. I was well prepared for the challenge. This competition is only eight games, so we need to start well.

James Vince is a quality player. He has been doing this for a long time in T20 Blast. Nice to see him back in form today."

1:40 AM IST, 9:10 PM Local Time | With that, Southern Brave complete a dominant victory over London Spirit! They defeat the visitors by 7 wickets to record a huge victory with 11 balls to spare!

London Spirit won the toss and elected to bat first,
and they were in tatters from the beginning. Coles struck in the first over to grab his maiden wicket in The Hundred on debut and the rest of the bowlers led by Overton's 3/16 put London under pressure. However, Liam Dawson's late innings magical cameo of an unbeaten 45 runs from 19 balls rescued Spirit's innings to register a total 138/7 from their 100 deliveries.

Come the chase, Southern Brave were confident to chase down this below par total and that's what their openers delivered. With no swing and assistance for the bowlers, the duo of Daniel Hughes and skipper James Vince put the pressure early on with some good strokes and London Spirit never recovered.

The openers went onto form a 95 run opening partnership to hand all the momentum to Southern Brave. Daniel Hughes missed out on his half-century as he was dismissed by Bopara for 45 runs off 30 balls.

James Vince played a captain's knock of with 56 runs in 35 balls. Leus du Plooy navigated the rest of the chase with a well made unbeaten 23 runs off 19 balls to ensure his team won with 7 wickets in hand!

Southern Brave begin their season with a brilliant victory while London Spirit will go back to the drawing board and iron out the flaws to come back with a win in their next encounter!
