That's it from our coverage of match number 18 in the Women's Premier League. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash and scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Shabnam Shakil (Player of the Match): "I am feeling very good to perform at this platform with some great players of the game.

I have learnt a lot from Under-19 cricket so a platform is built. I applied that experience into practice and in the first WPL I spoke a lot to the coaches and worked on the feedback before joining this season.

I love bowling with the new ball. Every pacer likes it. I get boosted by the new ball. I was enjoying my bowling.

My basic plan was to hit the top of off stump. I was bowling according to the pacers' plan. This is my first award at a big platform."
Shabnam Shakil is the player of the match!
Beth Mooney (Gujarat Giants Captain): "After the last few games, we stuck to the situation and gave the fans something good to watch hopefully. Its stressful when you are out there but good to watch as a fan.

When they were 5/30 we let them get back in the game. 150 wasn't a great score. We bowled well. Shabnam was outstanding upfront.

I don't know too much about bowling so won't give her advice about that. We thought to just give her a crack with the new ball. I love her energy and attitude. She's an amazing player and she has a bright future so why not bowl her 4 upfront when she has brought the house down.

Delhi are a strong team. They have got some great players and got some momentum at the backend of the tournament so I am sure it will be another close contest."
Sixes of the Match: Deepti Sharma (4 sixes)
Electric Striker of the Match: Ashleigh Gardner
Deepti Sharma: "Not happy because I am part of the losing team. But I think we gave too many runs in the last over that cost us.

I just changed my mindset while batting. I have to play positive cricket, just choose the right ball where I have to play. It's all about mindset that's what I change.

They trust my abilities because I have finished the games before. I can play in any situation or any place. Wherever I can bat for the team."
Deepti Sharma gets the orange cap!
Alyssa Healy (UP Warriorz Captain): "Deepti got us as close to what we did. We did think that if we take it deep we can finish it off. Disappointing night all around.

We probably looked to take on a little bit too early. We tried to take on the powerplay and take the run rate down but it didn't work out today. We will move on and hopefully be better.

We knew we had to win first and foremost. That was priority number 1 and we fell a little bit short which is not ideal. Tonight summed up our season, we haven't been consistent enough.

There are so many amazing players within this team who have put their hands up this season which has been a pleasing thing. It is good to have Poonam in our side. She has got a lot of flair and confidence. It was nice to see her strike tonight.

You look at the top 2 sides at the moment, they have been really good for the most of the tournament. We were down in the field at number of times. We will be better next year."
10:38 PM: The Gujarat Giants win an important fixture to stay alive in the WPL season 2. UP Warriorz suffered an 8-run win after losing the toss and scoring 152/8 in the first innings.

The chase started off with a boundary first ball but youngster Shabnam Shakil struck in the first over to remove Alyssa Healy and then Chamari Athapaththu in the same over.

Kiran Navgire fell at the other end with Kathryn Bryce taking the wicket. Ashleigh Gardner chipped with Grace Harris' wicket inside the powerplay with Shweta Sehrawat being cleaned up by Shabnam who finished with 3/11 bowling 4 overs straight.

Deepti Sharma fought till the very end with an unbeaten 88 off 60 balls hitting 9 fours and 4 sixes. She got support from Poonam Khemnar hitting a-run-a-ball 36 with 3 fours and a maximum. No other batter besides these 2 could score into double digits.
