That's it from our coverage of this high octane clash in the Women's Premier League. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Marizanne Kapp (Player of the Match): "I was happy when we won the toss. Its nice to go out there and bowl. Really pleased with the win. Hopefully we can move forward with the momentum.

Vrinda's dismissal was probably not a good ball. I will take it in spite of that. Last couple of months, I haven't been too happy with my bowling. Went back to work and change one or 2 small things and luckily it is paying off.

I am just happy to win this game. Was a bit nervous after such a close previous game. I love bowling with the new ball. If I am going well to go through, luckily Meg gave me the ball."
Marizanne Kapp is the player of the match.
Meg Lanning (Delhi Capitals Women Captain): "Yeah, I thought it was an excellent performance from the group. We felt like we did a lot right the other night, just couldn't quite get over the line. But our bowler set the victory out. Kapp was incredible up front to bowl four over straight and take three pretty crucial wickets, which I think was incredible, Radha Yadav also came and bowled some really important overs, and took some key wickets. So the bowler certainly set it up. And then it was nice to see the Shafali show from the other end.

It's a lot of fun batting with Shafali. I love just sort of standing at the other end and watching her smack sixes. When she's hitting nice and straight, she plays really well. And it's just about keeping it nice and simple tonight. And she certainly did that. So it was nice to be able to get the win and sort of get the tournament on track. So it's just about encouraging her to play to her strengths as much as I can and having a bit of a laugh as well. We have a lot of fun out there. I think that's really important.

[On Radha Yadav] Yeah, absolutely. She's been bowling well in the nets and the practice games. And she came to today's game with a little bit of a look in her eye about wanting to be really competitive and take the game on. She certainly did that. So, yeah, for a spinner to be able to bowl that last over and do it really well certainly shows that she's bowling well. And hopefully, that gives her a lot of confidence heading into the back end of the tournament."
Sixes of the Match: Shafali Verma (4 sixes)
Electric Striker of the Match: Shafali Verma
10:30 PM IST: Time for the post-match presentation.......
Shafali Verma: "I am feeling well. Couldn't do it last time but the ball was hitting the bat well. I thought to finish the game. I took some time to build innings tonight and then the strokes were flowing freely.

Lanning is very quick she won't get hit by my strokes. I love batting with the legend. She is helping me talking to me and backing me every time I bat.

If an opener gets out when just 1 run is required you tend to feel sad."
Alyssa Healy (UP Warriorz Women Captain): " I mean, we don't have a lot of pace bowling options anyway, so it was really just a 50-50 call at the end of the day. But I think the wicket decided to play quite nicely at the back end, but we just didn't quite execute with the ball anyway, so we just didn't play well enough tonight.

I think losing early wickets like we did in the power play, Kappy bowl, exceptional up front, seemed like the wicket was just holding a fraction and we couldn't quite get ourselves going and play the high tempo that we wanted to play. So we probably just didn't adjust to that quickly enough. But, yeah, we're obviously not enough runs on an outfield like this against a quality top six that they've got.

[On high tempo] I think that's everyone's goal, right, in this competition, to go out there and do that. It's not about being reckless, it's just about still being smart with your decision-making. But ultimately, we want to play high tempo, and that involves running between wickets as well, which we weren't great at tonight either. I think we were just a little bit off. But as you said, we've got a really quick turnaround. We've just got to be better in two nights' time.

I thought we played pretty well the other night and lost, but tonight we just were outclassed completely. So it's an opportunity to reflect on that and be better. There's no real-time for training to try and improve, so it's just about turning up with the right attitude and getting it done.

I mean, we've got a lot of choices and some really hard decisions to make every single game. The issue is, who do you leave out if you bring in someone like  Chamari Athapaththu, who's in fine form at the moment. So it'll all come up in conversation and we'll decide what our best eleven is in two nights."

10:18 PM: A tremendous win for Delhi Capitals as they dominate in all three departments against UP Warriorz in their 2nd match of the season winning by 9 wickets chasing a low total of 120 runs. Radha Yadav (4/20) and Marizanne Kapp (3/5) bowled tremendous spells to contain UPW to 119/9.

The chase began on a bright note with Shafali Verma looking set since the word 'go'. She smashed 6 fours and 4 sixes in her unbeaten knock of 64 in 43 deliveries bringing the 50 in 36 deliveries. The powerplay saw the openers add 57 runs without a dent.

With 3 needed off 39 deliveries, Shafali defended the next 3 balls allowing Meg Lanning to get to her half century who was at that stage stranded on 49. Lanning moved to her half century off 42 balls but was dismissed against the run of play with Vrinda Dinesh taking a stunning catch.

Jemimah Rodrigues facing just 1 delivery hit it for four runs with DC winning the game by 33 balls to spare. Sophie Ecclestone bowled well with figures of 1/31. Rajeshwari Gayakwad (0/20), Gouher Sultana (0/15) and Deepti Sharma (0/24) were let down by fielders who were sloppy throughout the innings and not having enough runs on the board hampered UP Warriorz's cause in their 2nd defeat of the season.
14.3 S Ecclestone to J Rodrigues
4 95.9 kph. Full on the pads, Rodrigues shuffles across to sweep and connects well. Appeal for LBW is turned down, ball runs away through the fine leg fence. A blockbuster victory for Delhi Capitals!
