Milestone
So, that also brings an end to our coverage of this game. For now, this is me Hiren Kumar signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Sourya and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. CHEERS!!
Shan Masood (Karachi Kings Captain) : "A lot of things went well for us today. Anwar Ali did good to finish his spell with 1 wicket. I think we were a bit poor in the middle overs. I think we gave away 15-20 extra in the end to Raza and Weise. We had a very good powerplay credit to Vince and Seifert and then Malik and Irfan in the death.

We were a bit unlucky in the last few games. I had a talk with the management and i think i have played in different positions throughout my career. We had a good season and will hope for a couple of results go our way and we are still alive in the tournament."
Irfan Khan Niazi (Player of the Match): "Wasn't getting enough chances in batting so tried to help my team 100 percent while fielding. Today I also got a chance with the willow and did my utmost. Shoaib bhai guided me during the partnership, asking to play each ball on its merit. I always try to focus on my processes and that gives me the results on the field."
Player of the match - Irfan Khan
Super power of the day award - Fakhar Zaman
Energetic Bowler of the match - Zahid Mahmood
Energetic batter of the match - Irfan Khan
Moment of the match award - Shoaib Malik
Welcome to the post match presentation.
Aaqib Javed (Lahore Qalandars coach): "Last ball could have gone anyway. This is what people come to see. Hard luck for us. Injuries affected us in terms of our bowling. Our batting order was also forced into changes and that depended on the availability of players."
Shoaib Malik (Karachi Kings): "I knew they would break and I was waiting for that moment. Having played for so many years, I use that knowledge during those crunch situations. But it never gets easy, there are still butterflies in your stomach. I just guided Niazi, he has talent, I told him to watch the ball and place the ball."
23:20 IST and 22:50 Local Time | What a game we have had tonight. Shoaib Malik with the winning runs for Karachi and again proves that he is not done yet. A match winning knock from him and his team mates appreciate him. A nail biting finish

Put to bat first, Qalandars lost Mirza Tahir Baig early in the 3rd over. Abdullah Shafique joined Fakhar Zaman in the middle and built a solid partnership of 70 runs for 2nd wicket partnership. Fakhar Zaman was unfortunate to get runout but played a solid knock of 54 runs.

Abdullah Shafique was also solid today at his new position and played a fine knock of 55 runs. They lost wickets in the middle overs but Sikandar Raza and David Wiese gave a good finish in the end and scored 22* and 24* runs which helped them cross the 170-mark.

With the ball, Karachi Kings were brilliant in the middle overs but were expensive in the death. Zahid Mahmood is continuing his good form this season and picked up 2 wickets to his name. Blessing Muzarabani and Anwar Ali also picked up a wicket each to their name.

Coming to the chase, Karachi Kings were to a flying start. The new pair of Tim Seifert and James Vince stitched a solid partnership of 59 runs. Vince was later dismissed in the 7th over but played a crucial knock of 42 runs.

Masood did get a start tonight but could not capitalize on it and was dismissed for 24. Seifert too was not at his best and scored 36 off 33 tonight. But then walked in Shoaib Malik who played a match winning cameo of 27* runs off 17 balls. Irfan Khan also played a solid knock of 35 off just 16 balls and his knock was truly the turning point of the game.

For Qalandars, they were excellent with the ball and fought till the end but were unlucky in the end. Tayyab Abbas was the pick of the bowlers and picked up 2 wickets. Shaheen Afridi also bowled decently and picked up a wicket. So, Lahore Qalandars lose another game and now have 7 losses to their name.

Stay around for the presentations.

19.6 Z Khan to S Malik
4 FOUR! Karachi win this thriller!! Malik wins it for them. Khan went for the wide yorker, missed his mark, it was a low full toss outside off, but the veteran still needed to get bat to it, which he did, made a great connection and in the gap as well with the third man in. The ball hurried through the backward point region to the fence to end this classic PSL match.
3 needed off the last ball. Are we in for a super over?
19.5 Z Khan to H Ali
1 Yorker length, almost, on leg stump, Ali walks down the wicket to hit it inside out, in the air but lands safe fielded by extra cover on the bounce. And they will get just a single. So three off one now.
A crucial double. 4 needed now out of the last 2 balls.
19.4 Z Khan to H Ali
2 Full outside off, Ali works it left of deep mid-wicket and this time they will get a two safely. 4 from 2.
Hasan Ali is the new man on the crease.
