So that also, brings an end to our coverage of this game. For now, this is me Hiren Kumar signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Ayan Chaterjee and scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. CHEERS!!
Babar Azam (Player of the match and Peshawar Zalmi Captain): "Very happy, my mother is here and hope she enjoyed the match. Me and Saim Ayub started the powerplay and were happy with our execution. I had to change plans after a we lost a couple of wickets. I was looking for one big over and i had to utilize that one.

This was one of my best innings in front of this crowd. Our bowlers did very well. When Azam got out, i thought lets take a chance and bowl Arif the 19th over. He is a experienced player and experience always helps. Management always gives the players the confidence they need. We are confident going forward and will look to carry the winning momentum."
Player of the Match: Babar Azam.
Super Power of the Day: Arif Yaqoob.
Energetic Batter of the Match: Azam Khan.
Moment of the Match: Arif Yaqoob.
Hanif Mohammed Cup is given to Babar Azam for leading run scorer in the tournament.
Time for the presentations.
Shadab Khan (Islamabad United Captain): "We needed to play smart cricket to win. I think that is what we spoke about but we messed up in the 19th over and lost. Played bad cricket. Yes, Munro and Azam set it up for us. But this is cricket and set batters should finish the game for us. This is cricket and we needed to play smart cricket in the 19th over. Bowling was also iffy. We had a bad powerplay as we conceded runs and end overs as well. Areas need to work on for us. Haider Ali is a finisher for us. Hope he does well in the coming games. Even my role is batting at Number 3. Yes, thanks to Lord, bowling is coming well for me personally and hope to do well in the coming games and contribute to the team. That will be my aim always."
Arif Yaqoob (Peshawar Zalmi): "I was given confidence by Babar. I was tensed and decided to stick to basics and get rewards. So, my aim was to bowl outside the arc and I did that. Thanks to God. I have got benefits and confidence from National T20. Have got confidence from parents and Allah. I am a big fan of Asad Shafiq. He was a fighter for us. Shane Warne and Danish Kaneria are my idols. Flippers are my speciality."
23:08 IST and 22:38 Local Time: Peshawar Zalmi win by 8 runs and what a game we have witnessed. We have seen everything from a 100 to a 5 wicket haul.

Arif Yaqoob's spell of 5/27 has to be one of the best spells in the history of the tournament. It was Islamabad's game before the last 2 overs and Arif Yaqoob's 19th over was where the game shifted towards Peshawar.

Opting to bowl first, the Islamabad United bowlers were expensive in the powerplay. Babar Azam and Saim Ayub were going all guns blazing in the powerplay. They scored 77 runs for the 1st wicket partnership before the later was dismissed for 38 off 21. It was then the Babar Azam show who stayed till the very end and scored 111* runs and helped his team cross the 200-mark.

Coming to United, their bowlers were expensive in the powerplay but did well to pull back things in the middle overs. Agha Salman got the first breakthrough. Skipper Shadab picked up 2 wickets in an over and brought the United back into the game but were again expensive in the backend.

Coming to the chase, the United were off to decent start but lost Jordan Cox in 5th over. Skipper Shadab Khan came in at 3 tonight but was dismissed for just 6. Colin Munro looked solid at the other end and was joined by Azam Khan who played a brilliant knock of 75 off 30 which was the turning point of the game and brought Islamabad into a winning position. Munro played a solid knock of 71 off 53 but was again not able to finish the game.

All was going good for the United, then came Arif Yaqoob to bowl the 19th over of the game. He picked up 4 wickets in an over and sealed the game for Peshawar and ended with the figures of 5/27.

Stay tuned for the presentations coming your way.
