Rashid Khan (Afghanistan Captain): "Well, it's something like a dream for us as a team. The belief came when we beat New Zealand. I don't have words to describe my feelings. Everyone back home is happy.

The only person that put us in semi-final was Brian Lara. When I met him, I told that we won't let him down. Super happy to make it to the semi-finals.

(On defending 116) I thought we were 10-15 runs short. But 115 was the best score on this wicket. It was always about the mindset. We knew they would come out hard against us. We needed to be clear with our planning. We put in that effort. Rain is not in our hands. But we put the 100% effort. That's the discussion we had in the break.

(On Farooqi and Naveen) In T20, if you have a strong base, especially in bowling, it gives us a good opportunity to attack in the middle overs. The fast bowlers are skillful and it gives an advantage. So happy with the way Naveen and Farooqi have delivered.

(On Gulbadin's injury) Well, rain is something in not in our hands. But mentally, we had to be there for the 20 overs. There was no other way that we can be in the semi-finals. Gulbadin had some cramp. Hopefully, he will get fit in the semi-final. But that was a massive wicket that he gave us.

It's a massive celebration back home. It's a big achievement for us as well. We reached the semi-finals at the under-19. The country will be very proud of. I'm so happy in how our team has delivered as a team. Butt we have to go with a clear plan in the semi-finals. Enjoy the win tonight."
Najmul Hossain Shanto (Bangladesh Captain): "We bowled really well. As a batting group we made some poor decisions in the middle stage that cost us.

Normally the plan was to go hard in the first 6 overs. If we lost wicket we would bat normal but the middle order did not execute today.

All the fast bowlers and spinners bowled really well in this tournament. Youngster Rishad came in and performed at the big stage. As a batting group we need to improve a lot especially in the top order.

It can happen [delays] but the other part is the ball getting wet. We didn't execute our plans and didn't make good decisions."

Naveen-ul-Haq (Player of the Match): "Yeah, thank you so much. I want to thank dear Allah for this achievement. We were dreaming for the past few years for this day. I'm lost for words. Pretty special moment for us.

I think we always knew they were going to come out hard in the powerplay to chase down the total in 12.1 overs. We knew we had to take wickets in the powerplay.

These are the games that you don't know what is going to happen. The margin of error is very small. But we knew if we don't give easy runs and easy balls, we will be in the game and get the win.

Absolutely. As I said before, we have worked hard for this day. We are into the semi-finals and looking forward to the game."
