That's it from our coverage of an exciting Super 8s encounter from St. Lucia which hosted its last T20 World Cup fixture of this edition. Time to wrap up the coverage. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.

Rohit Sharma (India Captain): "Quite satisfying especially when you are playing like that. We know Australia quite well. Overall as a team we played well, kept doing things that we are supposed to do.

200 is a good score but when you're playing on a ground like this where wind is a big factor, everything is possible. We used the conditions well. You need to understand what needs to be done as individuals. Whoever comes to the party needs to do their job. It is pleasing to see how we were going through the overs and taking wickets as well.

We understand the strength Kuldeep has. New York were seamer friendly wickets and unfortunately he had to miss out. He has come here and done the job for us in the last 2 games. That's what I am looking from the team. Everyone playing their role perfectly.

We don't want to do anything different. We want to play the same way, play freely. Not try think too much about what's lying ahead, what is the opposition. We want to keep our focus on playing our cricket well."
Mitchell Marsh (Australia Captain): "It's disappointing. We still have a chance technically of making it to the semi-finals but India outplayed us today.

In the span of 40 overs, there are a lot of small margins. India are a better team. Rohit Sharma is a world-class player and we are seeing it for the 15 years. He took the game away from us in the start.

More of a belief in the dressing room. In the run chase like that, you have to keep yourselves in the game and take it deep. But India were strong in the end with the ball.

C'mon Bangladesh (laughs)."

A loss for Afghanistan in their game against Bangladesh won't be enough for them to qualify for the semi-finals. Australia have a better net run rate now. Afghanistan need to win against Bangladesh to make it to the semi-finals. Even, a washout helps them. Or else, Australia qualifies.

Even Bangladesh have a chance. If they beat Afghanistan by 62 runs or more, they will make it to the top four.
Rohit Sharma (Player of the Match): "I mean that's what I had to do at the top of the order. See what the bowlers are trying to do and take them on. Right from over one, there was a strong breeze flowing across the ground. I had to change my plan and open one side. That's what you have to do.

You got to take it into consideration. The bowlers are smart. You got to open all sides of the field and not be one-dimensional. I was hitting the ball in every side possible.

It's been a good wicket. When you see the wickets are good, you have to back yourselves to take the bowlers on. I'm glad that it came off today.

No, I told you in the last match. 50s and 100s don't matter. I try to keep up the tempo and keep playing my shots. You have to carry on and make big scores, no doubt about that one, but you have to stay ahead of the bowlers. Not give them a hint of where I'm hitting."

India will face England in the second semi-final in Guyana.
11:14 PM IST, 2:14 PM Local Time: India are through to the semifinals of yet another ICC event. Their unbeatable run continues as they get better of arch rivals Australia by 24 runs at St. Lucia.

Australia won the toss and decided to bowl first, the decision proved costly despite them getting two early wickets in Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant as skipper Rohit Sharma played a blinder of a knock scoring 92 in 41 deliveries helping India deposit 205/5 in 20 overs.

Arshdeep Singh got India off to a good start again removing David Warner in the first over itself but Aussie skipper Mitchell Marsh (37 off 28) and Travis Head (76 off 43) adding 81 runs for the 2nd wicket.

Kuldeep Yadav was helped by Axar Patel taking a blinder on the boundary to dismiss Marsh. The left armer chipped again to send Glenn Maxwell packing just as he was looking good for a big knock.

Arshdeep Singh returning to the attack inflicted a middle order collapse and with Jasprit Bumrah put the brakes on the scoring from the 17th over. Australia needed 29 from the final over and had Mitchell Starc on Pat Cummins on the pitch, Hardik Pandya executed well conceding just 4 runs and winning the game for India.

Despite the loss Australia are ranked second in the Super 8 group but there participation in the next round depends on the game to be played later in the night between Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
