England thumped USA to win their last Super 8 fixture with 10 wickets and 62 balls to spare. They became the first team in the ongoing World Cup to qualify for the semis. We will have the second team emerge from the upcoming clash between West Indies and South Africa.

For now, this is me, AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Akshay Bhide and Ajay Pal Singh, who, alongside our scorer/analyst Paras Yadav brought you all the live-action of this clash. We will meet again. Until then, its cheers!
England are the first defending champions to reach the men's T20 WC semi-finals in a decade. The last team to do so was West Indies back in 2014, when they were knocked out in the semi-final.

Jos Buttler (England Captain): "Yeah, absolutely. We have played USA with a lot of respect. But we talked about playing with a lot of intent.

Absolutely. We got it right. The start we got in. After getting through the first few overs, we took off.

Adil has been fantastic. Livi also bowled brilliantly in tandem. Not easy for the guys when they are bowling one match and not in the next. But credit to him for being ready to bowl today.

We have got great options. Today, we felt we wanted to bring in CJ to add some batting depth. He executed brilliantly with the ball as well and to get a World Cup hat-trick is great.

I have been feeling good. You don't always get the results but I'm hitting the ball well. I needed to look at my own game as well being the captain and happy with it."
Aaron Jones (USA Captain): "Hard game to take into. We weren't as disciplined as we should be. Yeah, I guess you can say that. We didn't have good last few games but looking forward to learn from it and delivering in the future.

The wicket was a bit sticky, we knew he (Adil Rashid) was the danger man and it something to look forward to. We will definitely come harder going forward for sure.

Definitely a good player (Jos Buttler) for sure, very experienced and goes harder at the top. That's how it goes.

I mean it was good for us, a lot of people didn't think we would be standing here, playing with the big boys like the West Indies, England. I think our performance in this World Cup has truly opened the eye of the public and we've got a lot of calls and messages of support during this World Cup, which is a good sign."

Adil Rashid (Player of the Match): "All the bowlers did a fine job to restrict them to 115. Always nice to keep it tight and build the pressure. Getting an early wicket always help because it brings the new batter in.

Obviously, with the wind, you got to assess which end you want to bowl. At any given day, you may feel good and some days, you won't feel good when you get hit for sixes.

Today and in the last few games, the googly is coming out well and happy with it.

CJ is a match-winner. He is been doing this for a number of years. To come back and pick up a hat-trick, a big congrats to him.

Jos is a world-class player. Hopefully, we can carry down the momentum into the semi-finals."

10:31 PM IST & 1:01 PM Local Time: Jos Buttler takes England home with a whirlwind half-century and delivers the knockout blow to the USA. With this thumping win, England become the first team to qualify for the semi-finals. Chris Jordan set it up with his hat-trick and Buttler added the cherry on top with an unbeaten knock of 83 off 38.

Earlier in the match, England won the toss and opted to bowl first. The decision worked well as they bowled out the USA for 115 in 18.5 overs.

Chris Jordan, who took a hat-trick in the penultimate over, and also grabbed four wickets in over, finishing with figures of 4/10 from 2.5 overs.

Adil Rashid and Sam Curran took 2 wickets apiece while Reece Topley and Liam Livingstone chipped in with a wicket each.

Nitish Kumar and Corey Anderson were the only notable contributors for the USA with scores of 30 and 29 respectively.

In reply, England openers started cautiously but once Buttler decided to press the accelerator against Netravalkar in the 3rd over and took 19 runs from it. There was no looking back for the defending champions.

Buttler and Salt raced away with the run chase. Jos the Boss also hit Harmeet Singh for five sixes in one over. Buttler remained unbeaten on 83 while Salt played second fiddle to his skipper, remaining not out on 25 off 21. England completed the chase with 62 balls to spare and stormed their way into the semis.
