Milestone
That is the end of our coverage of another fixture dominated by India in this World Cup. They now top Group 1 and have put their one foot in the semi-finals. We have plenty of matches coming around. Up next in this marquee event is Afghanistan vs Australia. Don't forget to tune in with us.

For now, this is AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentators, Akshay Bhide and Ajay Pal Singh, who, along with our scorer/analyst Paras Yadav brought you all the live-action of this clash. We will meet in another fixture. Until then, it's cheers!
Rohit Sharma (India Captain): "I have been talking about that for a long time. It's just about going out there and putting in the work. We know how to go out there and work. We did well to adapt to the conditions. Wind is a factor here and you have adapt to it. We were smart with the bat and we adjusted well with the conditions here with the ball.

All the batters need to play their role, whatever it is. We saw only one batter get to 50 and still get to 190. It's not about getting to 50s or 100s. It's about going out there and play their roles. Obviously, we have to adapt to the conditions but we have a lot of experience in the side and we want them to back them to play their roles.

Hardik's form puts us in a good position. Hardik being Hardik. We know what he is capable of and he showed what he can do with the bat. A very important player for us. If he can do that, we will be in very good positions.

(On his aggressive celebration after the first wicket) It's the excitement of every wicket you take. If you discuss something with the bowler and it falls in place, that's the game and that's what it is. You talk a lot off the field but executing it on the field is different. We asked the bowlers to do some things on the field and they delivered."
Najmul Hossain Shanto (Bangladesh Captain): "We were looking to restrict India to around 160 or 170. That would have been good for us. But credit to them for the way they played.

It wasn't too hot when we batted. All the players are well-versed in these conditions.

I think we had a lot of batting options today, but we didn't show the intent we needed. Chasing 190 odd, you need to go hard in the powerplay.

I tried to bat well every game and contribute, but I had to finish the game, which I didn't. I should have finished the game.

Tanzim Hasan Sakib has done a great job in this tournament. I should also mention Rishad Hossain. We have been looking for a leg-spinner for a while, and it's good to have him."
Both India and Australia will qualify for the semi-finals if Afghanistan faces a defeat to the Aussies in the upcoming T20 WC fixture.
Longest Winning Streak for India in T20Is

12 wins - November 2021 to February 2022

9 wins - January 2020 to December 2020

9 wins - December 2023 to June 2024 *
Most victories versus a nation without a loss in T20 World Cups:

6 Australia vs Bangladesh

6 Pakistan vs Bangladesh

5 India vs Bangladesh
Hardik Pandya (Player of the Match): "Yes, definitely. We have played good cricket. More than that, we have stuck together and everyone has stepped up at right time in different situations.

I didn't realize that the batters wanted to use the breeze. I just tried to bowl wide which is my delivery. But the batter had already decided to hit there and it was about staying one step ahead of the batter.

As a group, we can get better. We are losing wickets in bunches middle stage and we can improve that. But apart from that, we are looking good.

For me, this World Cup is very special. I'm very fortunate to play for my country. It was a freak injury. I tried to come back but god had other plans and I couldn't make it. I always believe and I was speaking to Rahul sir the other day. We said that luck comes to people who work hard. That's what I have been working for the past few months and happy to be here."

11:16 PM IST & 1:46 PM Local Time: India complete a comprehensive win over Bangladesh. They take the win by 50 runs and have put one foot in the semis. A clinical performance in all three departments and Bangladesh were blown away. If Australia beat Afghanistan in St Vincent, both India and Australia will qualify for the semis.

Earlier in the game, Bangladesh won the toss and invited India to bat first. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli got the team off to a solid start. The duo added 39 runs in 3.4 overs before the Indian skipper perished, looking to take down Shakib Al Hasan inside the powerplay.

Kohli again looked good but a wild slog across the line off Tazim Hasan Sakib ended his stay in the middle. He made 37 off 28, his highest score in the ongoing T20 World Cup. Rishabh Pant carried on his good run and scored a brisk 36.

Shivam Dube finally came to his own and took down the Bangladesh spinners, he fell in the 18th over but not before giving India the platform to post a mammoth first innings total. The left-handed batter scored 34 off 24.

Hardik Pandya stole the limelight with a 27-ball half-century down the order. Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Rishad Hossain picked up two wickets apiece while Shakib Al Hasan got one next to his name.

In reply, Bangladesh lost Litton Das in the 5th over. He was caught in the deep off Hardik Pandya. Then Kuldeep Yadav came and ran through the middle order, taking three wickets from his four overs.

The experienced duo of Shakib and Mahmudullah failed with the bat, scoring 11 and 13 respectively.

Bangladesh batters failed to read him and paid the price. Bangladesh captain Najum Hossain Shanto played a lone hand, scoring 40 off 32 but it wasn’t enough as they fell 50 runs short of the target.

Jasprit Bumrah picked up 2 wickets for 13 runs from his four overs while Arshdeep Singh finished with 2/30. Stay tuned for the post-match presentation.

1 A single to end the contest! Back of a length outside the off-stump. Tanzim clears his front leg on the back foot and slaps it down to widish long-off. Gets off the mark as well! But that is not at all enough for the Bangla Tigers as India continue their unbeaten streak with a 50-run win. The Men in Blue now have two wins in two Super 8 fixtures, topping Group 1!

Tanzim Hasan Sakib walks out to face the last ball of the match.
A very good catch from Axar in the deep. Comes running in from the square leg boundary and takes a fine catch with a dive forward.
19.5 A Singh to M Riyad
W WICKETTT!!! Excellent catch in the deep! Arshdeep Singh gets another wicket! Short and outside the off-stump. Slower ball into the pitch. Mahmudullah stays on the back foot and has to fetch this 117.7 kmph off-cutter. Tries to hit across the line. He is early on the pull and drags it aerially to the left of deep backward square leg. Axar calls for it, runs in and takes a good catch diving forward.
