That's it from match number 3 of the SA20 competition. Ninaad Dixit and Paras Yadav this side, signing off. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Andile Phehlukwayo (Player of the Match): "It was good. Haven't played in a while I had a little bit of side. Being out there was quite emotional for me a little bit. The wicket was quite tough in the beginning. The partnership between David and Mitch was quite important for us and the guys bowled really well and put it back very nicely.

When you are starting to get momentum and a niggle happens that's difficult but I was working quite hard on my game trying to improve every day. Today was very important day and I was lucky enough to put a performance for my team."
Andile Phehlukwayo is the player of the match.
David Miller (Paarl Royals Captain): "It was a bit tight after the powerplay we had. The guys bowled really well nonetheless. There were a couple of lucky shots over third man that could have put us under pressure in the powerplay but we got ourselves back and the guys executed beautifully. It was a great finish.

We've bolstered our bowling attack this year so confident to defend most things. It was just the score that we had. We squeezed nicely in the middle there so anything between 160/155 is a good score.

Its great to see the crowd coming out at Paarl to support us. We really enjoyed and appreciate that. Much like last year the ground was full."
Jimmy Neesham (Pretoria Capitals Captain): "Not an ideal surface but we can't get help in all the games. I think we did them well to restrict to 160 which was a par score in the first innings. They bowled extremely well in the 2nd innings especially through the middle. Made it tough for us to score and it was tough for the batters to get going.

All their bowlers bowled really well. They took the pace off and didn't give us same deliveries in a row which made it difficult.

You don't take a lot from the loss. The surface will be different in a couple of days and we have a lineup that's suited for our surface. A little bit disappointing with the batting performance but we've got a lot of experience in our line up. Its just a case of adjusting ourselves.

Its just about preparation. We came out here yesterday. The practice wicket was similar to what we got in the game. No excuses as far as preparation, we have got guys in the team who have played all around the world so its nothing new to come and play on a slower surface. I don't think it was a terrible surface, it was slightly holdy and slower than usual. We are all professionals and it is about adapting to situations."
12:36 AM IST, 9:06 PM Local Time: Excellent start for the Paarl Royals in the SA20 season 2 as they win by 27 runs against Pretoria Capitals at their home ground of Boland Park. The bowlers did a wonderful job after losing the toss and defending 160.

Lungi Ngidi got an early breakthrough dismissing Will Jacks for 5 in the 2nd over itself. Theunis de Bruyn followed next getting out to Obed McCoy. Rilee Rossouw and Phil Salt added 39 for the 3rd wicket, the biggest partnership of the innings.

Rossouw ended up scoring 29 in 18 balls with Salt getting trapped in front by Tabraiz Shamsi (1/22). The middle and lower middle order failed to sparkle with skipper James Neesham (21 off 18) and Eathan Bosch (16 off 19) the other 2 batters to score into double digits.

Andile Phehlukwayo (2/29) was the pick of the bowlers. Shamsi, Ngidi (1/23), Wihan Lubbe (1/6) and Obed McCoy (1/26) bowled wonderfully to be economic and picked up a wicket apiece taking the team to a 27-run victory.
