Fortune Barishal won the toss and elected to bat first, and thanks to a 139 run partnership between Mahmudullah Riyad and Soumya Sarkar, Barishal registered a big total of 189/4 at the end of their 20 overs.
Come the chase, things never got going Dhaka's way. Fortune Barishal bowlers were disciplined with their lines and lengths and reaped rewards by picking up wickets at regular intervals.
Except Alex Ross' 52 runs off 30 balls, no other batter made it past the 28 run-mark to give themselves any chance of chasing this down. Mohammad Saifuddin was the pick of the bowlers for Fortune Barishal as he ended up with the figures of 3/21 from his 4 overs.
