So, that's it from our coverage of the Sylhet leg of BPL 2024. The caravan will move back to Dhaka from the 6th of February for the next phase of matches. Make sure you join us for that one and for all other cricketing actions across the globe and across formats, stay tuned to our network.

For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash (first innings) alongside scorer/analyst Manish Bishnoi. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Nurul Hasan (Rangpur Riders Captain and Player of the Match): "Yes, first of thanks to Allah. The wicket was tricky. I thought 162 was a good score. The powerplay was important for us. Babar Played well and then I chipped in. The bowlers then did really well. It's a team environment for us and a team game for us. Next few games will be important for us in Dhaka. We have to start winning there. Hope to do well there. Need to keep doing our work well. Thank You.."
Player of the Match: Nurul Hasan.
Time for the presentations.
Mohammad Mithun (Sylhet Strikers Captain): "Well, what I can say. A disastrous batting display from us. I thought 162 was gettable. But the way we batted left a lot to be desired. Someone had to bat through the innings. But we are keeping on losing wickets in the powerplay and deserved to lose. I think we are bowling decently and are playing badly with the bat. That's why we lost the game today. Thank You very much."
9:36 PM IST, 10:06 PM Local Time: A comprehensive win for Rangpur Riders as they thrash the Sylhet Strikers by 77 runs to climb upwards in the points table. The Rangpur Riders outplayed Sylhet in all facets of the game and deserve this win in the end. The Strikers, on the other hand, were listless and are at the bottom of the points table now.

Chasing a stiff target of 163 on a challenging pitch, the Sylhet Strikers never got going and lost wickets in clusters. Samit Patel scored 11 while Ryan Burl entertained one and all with his 43 off 32 balls. The rest of the players could not enter double digits as they were bowled out for 85 in 16.5 overs. 4 extras given by the fielding side today.

From the Rangpur Riders' bowling point of view, all the bowlers bowled well. Mahedi Hasan was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3/13 in 3 overs. Mohammad Nabi chipped in with 3 wickets for 17 runs in 2.5 overs. Shakib Al Hasan bowled well for his 2/18 in 4 overs. A wicket apiece for Omarzai and Hasan Mahmud and all of them kept things tight out there.

Earlier in the game, Rangpur Riders were put into bat first by Sylhet Strikers. The Riders lost Brandon King early as usual. But Babar Azam looked a class apart for his 47 off 37 balls. Fazle Mahmud laboured his way to 14 off 21 balls. The skipper Nurul Hasan led from the front with his 46 off 30 balls. Omarzai scored a quickfire 22 off 14 balls while Shamim Hossain Patwari scored 10* off 6 balls. 15 extras given by the Sylhet Strikers as the Riders finished with a competitive 162/7 in 20 overs.

Samit Patel was the pick of the bowlers for Sylhet Strikers with figures of 2/14 in 4 overs. Harry Tector chipped in with figures of 2/24 in 3 overs. A wicket apiece for Richard Ngarava, Rejaur Rahman Raja, and Ariful Haque. They went the distance towards the end.

So, Rangpur Riders win by 77 runs and climbs to the top of the points table. Stay tuned for the presentations.
16.5 M Nabi to R Ngarava
W BOWLED HIM! Full and straight angling in straight with a hint of turn, Ngarava looks to defend and gets beaten all ends up. The ball goes through to clatter the stumps. Ngarava departs as the match is over now. Easy win for Rangpur Riders.

16.4 M Nabi to R Burl
W WICKET! Another one bites the dust. Flighted delivery and in the slot, Burl slog sweeps it away straight to the deep midwicket fielder. Patwari makes no mistake out there. He got the height and not the distance. Burl departs after a good knock. 9 down now.
16.3 M Nabi to Raja
1 Good length on the pads, Raja tucks it to square leg for a single.
