Shuvagata Hom (Challengers Skipper): "New wicket, so winning toss was important and we took advantage of it. The bowlers kept the pressure from the start. We bowled well in the powerplay, and so was the case in the death overs. Fielding is important in T20Is, and the bowling is also going well."
Tanzid Hasan (Player Of The Match): “It was a great win for us. Obviously, if I finished the game for my team that would have been better. Wicket was good, we tried to rotate the strike and hit the poor deliveries for boundaries. We planned to keep our plan simple out there.”
Mosaddek Hossain (Dhaka Skipper): "We bowled well, but our batting wasn't that good. We should have batted well in the powerplay. Hopefully, we'll improve in the next game. The Challengers bowled the right lengths and credit to them for that. It's still a long to way to go. I'm sure we'll bounce back."

Chasing a target of 137, the Challengers got off to a fiery start before Avishka Fernando (12), who smacked three boundaries off Shoriful Islam, was removed by the same bowler. Imran Uzzaman (1) was soon back in the hut, becoming Shoriful’s second scalp. Tanzid Hasan and Shahadat Hossain then combined and stitched a 53-run stand before the latter became Usman Qadir’s only victim of the evening. Shahadat made 22. Tanzid then carried on, and he looked good to cross the fifty milestone but he fell to Taskin Ahmed for 49. Najibullah Zadran then provided the finishing touches, and crushed any Dhaka hopes of a victory with an unbeaten 32 off 19. For Dhaka, Shoriful took two wickets while Taskin Ahmed and Usman Qadir bagged one each.

Dhaka were in all sorts of trouble at 33/4 in the eighth over before Lasith Croospulle, the concussion sub of Danushka Gunathilaka, and Irfan Sukkur (27) came together for a 73-run partnership. Croospulle, who was set to score big, was out for 46 in the 16th over. Post his dismissal, Dhaka couldn’t recover and failed to cross 150.
