I was batting hard and told Aryan Lakra to not throw the wicket away because if you can hang around, the runs will come automatically. When I started my cricket, for the first few years, I was only a fielder. I didn't bowl or bat and that's why I just love to field.

Ibrahim Zadran (Afghanistan Captain): "There was some pressure in chasing but for me as a player, I always enjoy batting while chasing but the way I wanted to bat took responsibility. I didn't execute the plan today and I am not happy with the start I got. There were some more mistakes with the batting, we didn't create enough partnerships to chase that total.
Nabi is the most senior player in our team. He has the experience to apply every time and we expect it from him. The way he batted, we really enjoyed it. Unfortunately we didn't have wickets in hand.

I bowled at Pakistan, Sri Lanka and bowling at those quality wickets to the quality bowlers has helped me. I saw Ihsanullah celebrating in the innovative way and I tried that(hahah..)"

UAE skipper Muhammad Waseem won the toss and elected to bat first. The skipper scored 53 in 32 balls with Aryan Lakra remaining unbeaten on 63 in 47 balls while opening the batting. The duo helped the team to score 166/7 which proved a bit too much for Afghanistan.
The Afghanistan openers started off in style adding 47 runs in 5.2 overs. Hazratullah Zazai scored 36 in 27 balls with last game's centurion Rahmanullah Gurbaz hitting just 21 in 17 balls.
Wickets started falling in quick interval with Mohammad Nabi standing tall and scoring 47 in 27 deliveries taking the game deep. With 20 needed in the final over and 12 needed off 2 balls, it was Nabi who got dismissed with the team bundling out for 155 in 19.5 overs.
Ali Naseer was the pick of the bowlers with 4/24 including a maiden in his 4 over-spell. Muhammad Jawadullah (4/26) also picked up important wickets with Akif Raja bowling the much important final over.
