That's all from another last-ball thriller from National T20. Time to wrap up our coverage as well. For now, this is Deepak Prakash, signing off on behalf of co-commentator Karthik Raj and scorer/analyst Bishal Mandal. CHEERS!
Rohail Nazir: "Was a very good match and happy that we won in the end. In the previous match, we lost and were under pressure but we turned up well today. In our mind, wanted to chase the target as soon as possible. But we lost 3-4 wickets and were under pressure but crossed the line in the end. The kind of players we have, can beat any side."
11:51 PM IST, 11:21 PM Local Time | Deepak: PHEW! Take a moment and breathe! Another day, another match, and another last-ball thriller game in the National T20. Islamabad Region win by 2 wickets in the last-ball thriller. Tough luck for Zahoor Ahmed, who almost saved 4 runs in the last over as the equation was reduced to 2 runs off one ball but, Shayan Sheikh, the nerves of steel smashed a boundary off the very last ball to seal the deal for Islamabad.

Earlier, after deciding to bat first, Dera Murad Jamali got off to a solid start. The opening duo of Basit Ali and Zubair Khan Mengal played sensibly and scored at a decent pace. The duo added 64 runs for the first wicket, with Basit departing for 28 runs. On the other hand, Zubair was inching towards his half-century but fell 4 runs shy of his fifty. The wicket of Zubair triggered a massive collapse for DMJ as they started falling like a house of cards, and eventually, they were bundled out for a paltry 127 runs in 19.1 overs. The scorecard resembled telephone numbers as the lower middle-order batters struggled to touch the double-digit figure.

Umair Afridi shone with the ball for Islamabad, taking four wickets. Muhammad Musa Khan chipped in with three wickets, while Farmanullah Khan and Shayan Sheikh contributed one wicket to DMJ’s downfall.

In pursuit of a paltry 127 runs, Islamabad Region lost Hasan Nawaz for a golden duck in the first over of the innings. Ali Imran and Rohail Nazir started building a partnership in the middle, the former scored at a brisk pace from the word go and provided a solid start, but Mohammad Shahid trapped Imran for 24 runs off 12 balls and halted the progress. Following the wicket of Imran, Islamabad lost a few wickets in a jiffy and were reeling at 57/ in the 11th over.

Hammad Siddque and Muhammad Musa Khan started the rescue mission and the duo kept the scoreboard ticking with singles and doubles. The pair added 34 runs for the seventh wicket, as Mohammad Shahid trapped Musa for 9 runs off 12 balls and ceased the budding partnership.

Hammad continued his sublime form and notched up his half-century. He single-handedly took his side out of deep waters but when it looked like Islamabad would easily win this match, Zahoor Ahmed displayed a superb piece of bowling in the last over. The equation was reduced to 4 runs off the last over and Zahoor conceded only two runs in 5 balls, taking the wicket of Farmanullah Khan in the penultimate ball of the match and reducing the equation to 2 runs off 1 ball.

Zahoor's valiant effort went in vain as Shayan Sheikh, the new batter, smashed a boundary off the last ball and snatched the victory from Dera Murad Jamali.

Saleem Mal and Mohammad Shahid extracted a couple of wickets for Dera Murad Jamali, while Nasir Khan and Zahoor Ahmed shared a solitary wicket.
