That brings an end to our coverage for this game. Keep joining us for more cricketing action all around the globe. For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentators Deepak Prakash and Saptak Sanyal and scorer Bishal Mandal. Tata. Bye Bye.
Ben Mckinney (England Captain): “Yeah. Very happy. Obviously, the rain helped but really happy on two wins in a row. Hundred percent. Taz came on and picked up two wickets in a single over. It helped us get back in the contest as they got off to a very good start. It’s one-time working. It’s really helpful when the wickets are flat and they get off to a solid start. It’s a different approach. We wanted to see him off and not slow down the run rate but see the first 10 overs period. We just very happy to keep ourselves ahead of the DLS par score.
Juan James(South Africa U19 Captain)- "I think we can improve our batting. We got struck in the middle overs. We showed a good fighting spirit but we need to improve a lot. We should not lose the wickets, we have to reduce that. Our team is fighting and it is very pleasing to see that they are sticking to the plans given. Hopefully we will win the final game of the group stage."
Eddie Jack (Player of the Match): "Playing in India before Christmas was a nice challenge. Learnt a lot from it about my bowling. I think I was always going with my strengths. I tried to take wickets every ball while bowling. The coaches have been very helpful. Also, watching some senior guys helps a lot. Learning from the best. Obviously, you want to have dreams. But just trying to put in good performances for Hampshire’s second XI and break into the first XI."

21:02 IST and 17:32 Local Time | The England U19 side have won the rain affected game by 36 runs in the DLS Method and they are now on the top of the points table in their group.

After being invited to bat first, the South Africa side got off to a flying start, thanks to the fiery 64 run innings off 55 balls by opener Steve Stolk. He had hit 11 boundaries and a maximum in his innings. Initially the Protea side lost Lhuan-dre Pretorious and David Teeger cheaply but after Stolk's run out, things got worse for them. Richard Seletswane batted sensibly to score 33 but Oliver Whitehead and Romashan Pillay got out without disturbing the scorers. Seletswane got out scoring a patient 33 off 53 balls with just 2 boundaries. After his dismissal, Dewan Marais came in and took the bowlers on to score 42 off 39 balls hitting 5 boundaries and a maximum to help his team go past the 200 run mark. In the tail-end, Juan James(13), Tristan Luus(17), Nqobani Mokoena(18) and Kwena Maphaka(12*) contributed significantly to give themselves a defendable total of 230.

For the English side, Tazeem Chaudry Ali was the star of the show picking up 3 wickets giving just 26 runs away from his 10 overs. Eddie Jack bowled 10 overs and gave just 28 runs away to take 3 wickets. Jaydn Kennick Denly took 3 wickets for 37 runs.

Coming to chase the target, the English opener Jaydn Kennick Denly got out for 1 but the other opener Ben Mckennie and Noah Thain steadied the ship putting up a 92 run stand for the 2nd wicket. Mckennie got out for 48 after getting beaten by a jaffa delivery. But then, Noah Thain took the innings forward and he remained unbeaten on 63 off 82 balls hitting 8 boundaries. Hamza Shaikh stood unbeaten on 9 with him when the lightning and rain came. England were on 137 for 2 after the 3rd ball of the 29th over was bowled and were 36 runs ahead of the target as per DLS Method.

Tristan Luus and Romashan Pillay took one wicket each for the South Africa U19 team.
21:59 IST and 17:29 Local Time | That's it. The umpires have a chat with both the captains and decide to call of the game. The rain has stopped but the groundsmen won't have enough time to prepare the ground ready to play. The handshakes are done and England U19 have won the game by 36 runs on the DLS Method.
20:30 IST, 17:00 Local Time: To make matters worse, it has started to rain here at Senwes Park. A chance of any play looks very bleak. The weather has to clear very soon for the play to resume.
20:16 IST, 16:46 Local Time: The covers are firmly in place. It continues to remain gloomy at the stadium and we continue to wait for further updates. Remember, if the game doesn't resume, England will emerge victorious by 36 runs on the DLS method.
19:29 IST and 15:59 Local Time | There's a glimpse of lightning in the sky and the players are instructed to trudge off the field for safety. The sky is looking gloomy and the players are coming for a precautionary purpose. Covers are coming in the field as precautionary method. The DLS par score is 101 and the English side is 36 runs ahead of it.
28.3 T Luus to H Shaikh
0 Back of a length delivery outside off, Shaikh punches it square of the wicket and backward point dives to his right to stop it.
28.2 T Luus to H Shaikh
0 On a length outside off, Shaikh punches it on the up but finds covers.
28.1 T Luus to H Shaikh
4 FOUR!!!! Luus starts his spell with a short delivery well outside off, Shaikh throws his hands at it and gets a thick outside edge that flies over the second slip fielder for a boundary. Third man runs to his left and dives but in vain.

4 FOUR!!! Pulled away in disdain. Mokoena bangs it short on the stumps and it sits up nicely for Thain who gets on top of his toes and pulls it powerfully over mid wicket for a boundary. One bounce and into the fence.
27.5 N Mokoena to N Thain
0 On a length on the fifth stump line, Thain mistimes the drive to mid off.
