Uday Saharan (India Captain): "We kept sticking to our plans. Not to focus on the other things and we executed our plans brilliantly. We lost two early wickets but we kept calm in the middle. Adarsh played a fantastic knock. He also stayed calm and we knew that runs would come once we stay in the middle. Naman was a bit off today but Arshin, Musheer, Raj, Saumy and Murugan everyone stepped up. Every game is important for us. We are not too happy with the win and not too low as there is a long way to go. We would like to keep it even."

Our batters didn’t do well and poor shot selection was one of the reasons. On this wicket, it was chasable but our batters didn’t do the job. They played our bowling really well. Maruf bowled well and I would like to request him to keep simple. The boys are really excited to play against India. It was an enjoyable match."
Adarsh Singh (Player of the Match): "Feels really nice. The plan was to bat according to the ball. There will be initial movement with the new ball but we decided to play according to the merit. When we lost quick wickets, we tried to focus on singles and doubles because of the big boundaries. Once we got the singles and doubles, the loose balls came our way. We had faced them in the quadrangular series and knew their bowlers. The plan was to play according to the ball. My favorite shot is the cover drive. I like playing that shot."

They did a very good job to post 251 on the board before their bowlers stepped up and knocked over Bangladesh on 167 to win the game by 84 runs. Bangladesh struggled while chasing and are being outplayed by the defending champions who start their title defence with a win.
Chasing 252, Bangladesh got off to a decent start. Openers Ashiqur Rahman Shibli and Jishan Alam looked good at the crease. The Indian bowlers were a bit rusty while bowling with the new ball. Raj Limbani broke the 38-run stand by dismissing Alam on 14. Saumy Pandey was introduced into the attack and he dismissed Chowdhury Md Rizwan (0) and Shibli (14) in quick succession. Arshin Kulkarni trapped Ahrar Amin (5) in the 15th over to reduce Bangladesh to 50/4.
Ariful Islam and Mohammad Shihab James started building a partnership. Both played well and put 77 between them before Islam edged one to the keeper to fall on 41. James looked good at the crease and brought up his fifty. He lacked support from the other end as Bangladesh kept losing wickets at regular intervals.
