So, the Samp Army win the final league game of the season and end up as the table-toppers with six wins from seven matches. Defending a meagre target of 71, George Scrimshaw gave some hope to the New York Strikers as he got rid of Ibrahim Zadran for a duck. At one end, Dewald Brevis started aggressively but Ali Khan dismissed his countryman Monank Patel with a short delivery. Dutch all-rounder Bas de Leede was roughened up by both Scrimshaw and Ali Khan before the latter had him caught at deep point in the fourth over.

Basil Hameed was the next to depart as he miscued an attempted big shot off Muhammad Waseem with the Samp Army being reduced to 45-4. Just as the Strikers seemed to have some hope, the pair of Brevis and Moeen Ali played some fine shots to take their team home with three overs to spare.
