So, that's it for this game, everyone. We hope you enjoyed this live coverage. Do switch tabs and follow the second game of the day between the  Morrisville Samp Army and the Deccan Gladiators where the toss is just about to take place. For now, on behalf of Wali, and (scorer/analyst) Ashok, this is Navjeevan signing off.
Kieron Pollard (Captain of New York Strikers): "For me personally the win was good as we needed to get these two points. We have had a good display with the ball but are happy with the win. We have another game to play and there is still a bit to do but we have done well. Listening to the guys we have got different guys for different roles and we have a nice unit and good bond."
Mohammad Amir (Player of the Match): "I think most important as a bowler is that I was happy to get some swing. As a bowler, I was trying to stick to basics. I think these days the wickets are supporting bowlers but as a team as well we were sticking together so it was good."
Player of the Match: Mohammad Amir
Power Hitter of the Match: Asif Ali

18:45 IST, 17:15 Local Time: The Strikers make it five wins in a row with this win. It was a must-win game for the Braves this one and they have fumbled it and are out of contention for the top four spots.

After being put into bat, the Braves had a horrible start as they lost four wickets in the second over of the innings. They were pushed on the back foot but with some minor contributions from Roy, Raza, Nabi, and Aayan the Braves were able to post 75 runs on the board.

The Strikers had a great outing with the ball, particularly Amir who registered a four-fer and claimed a run out. Doing the most of the damage for the Strikers. He had some assistance from Narine and Jawadullah who got a wicket each to contain the Braves to just 75 runs.

Coming in to chase, the Strikers lost both their openers for 0. Waseem (18) and Deyal (19) tried to rebuild for their side but were dismissed as they tried to kick on. The Strikers had to be cautious in this run-chase and with some assistance from Asif (23*) and skipper Pollard (9*), they were able to get across the line with nine balls to spare.

Defending their total, the Braves got the perfect start as Cook got them a couple of wickets in the first over. However, they couldn't keep the squeeze on consistently. Siddique also got a couple of wickets, while Nabi got the key wicket of Waseem. However, they didn't have enough runs to defend and went on to lose this game.

8.3 O McCoy to K Pollard
4 THE STRIKERS ARE VICTORIOUS AGAIN! BRAVES ARE OUT OF THE RACE FOR THE PLAYOFFS! Yorker angling across outside off. Pollard manages to squeeze it out behind the stumps past the keeper for four runs.
Still four runs needed for the Strikers to win!
8.2 O McCoy to K Pollard
0 Fuller delivery angling across just outside off. Pollard tries to drive this straight but misses.
8.1 O McCoy to K Pollard
2 Full delivery angling across. Pollard gets in line and tries to play this straight but gets an outside edge that rolls away to short third. The fielder there fumbles the ball and he gets a couple.
The Strikers take their floating powerplay. They are just one big hit from winning this contest.
