That's it from the coverage of this game. We will be back with more cricketing actions from around the world tomorrow in our network. For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator AkshayaKrishna Polya alongside scorer/analyst Yogesh Kumar. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Mohammad Amir (POTM): "Yeah, it always feels good. It was an interesting game in the end. Rutherford dragged it towards us and thought that he would be the player of the match. Yeah, happy to do something for the team. It's a win-win situation with the new ball. It's about bowling in the right areas and in partnership with the other bowler, Shaheen. Always sharing experience and sharing the responsibility with the new ball that helps the team."
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Mohammad Amir
Colin Munro (Desert Vipers Captain): "Yes, smile on the face. But bits and pieces cricket. Still not there as far as complete performance is concerned. You were speaking to Nikky P and he is also not satisfied with the performance of the team. The scorecard will say different things, but we are lucky and will take the win. I thought we bowled well, but with the bat, we let it slip and got lucky in the end. We will take the win and focus on the upcoming games to do well and improve our performances. Thank You."
Nicholas Pooran (MI Emirates Captain): "I felt like, 10-15 runs short, to be honest, but as a couple of wickets fell early, I thought we could put up a nice fight. It was a tough one to swallow. It is all about taking responsibility and accountability. We didn't have a good record at this venue, and coming here was a new challenge, and we like to take on these challenges. Everyone tried their best. Everyone gave a shy at it."
Biggest SIX of the Match: Andre Fletcher for his 116m hit.
Fazalhaq Farooqi regains the white belt for the most wickets in the tournament.
11:59 PM IST, 10:29 PM Local Time: What a game we have had here in Dubai. The match going down to the last ball with the pendulum swinging from one team to another. In the end, Desert Vipers have held their nerves to win this game by 2 wickets and get their second win in the competition. Credit to MI Emirates for making a match out of this, but they fall short in the end.

Chasing 150 for the win, The Vipers lost early wickets in the initial overs. Rohan Mustafa scored 18. Wanindu Hasaranga scored 26 off 22 balls while Azam Khan scored a quickfire 20 off 12 balls. Ali Naseer scored 14 off 15 balls. Sherfane Rutherford looked good and almost won the game for his side with his 35 off 22 balls. In the end, it was the two bowlers who won the game for them. Shaheen Afridi hit the winning runs with 17* off 12 balls and Luke Wood ran like his life depended on him and was unbeaten on 6* off 6 balls. 7 extras given by the fielding side as the target was achieved in the final ball.

Rohid Khan got 3 wickets for 21 runs in 3 overs for MI Emirates. A couple of wickets apiece for Fazalhaq Farooqi and Dwayne Bravo as they kept things tight. A wicket also to Waqar Salamkheil as well.

Earlier in the game, MI Emirates batted first against Desert Vipers. The MI Emirates lost Kusal Perera for a duck. Muhammad Waseem scored 19 off 12 balls while Andre Fletcher scored 18 off 12 balls. Nicholas Pooran the captain scored 17 off 14 balls. Ambati Rayudu laboured his way to 23 off 30 balls. Akeal Hosein scored 24 off 24 balls. Tim David played the finisher's role and scored a quick 28 off 14 balls. Dwayne Bravo scored 10* off 10 balls. 9 extras given by the fielding side as MI Emirates ended with 149/9 in 20 overs.

Mohammad Amir was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3/26 in 4 overs. Luke Wood and Matheesha Pathirana had identical figures of 2/32 in 4 overs each. Wanindu Hasaranga bowled miserly as usual picking up 1/19 in 4 overs. Shaheen went wicketless and went for a lot of runs today.

So, Desert Vipers win this game by 2 wickets off the final ball and get their second win of the competition. Their campaign is somewhat back on track. Stay tuned for the presentations.

3 THREE RUNS!!! What a finish to a riveting contest!!!! Shaheen Shah Afridi wins it for Desert Vipers! Trent Boult fails to defend 10 off the final over. Shaheen has hurt himself in the process, and the blood has come out from his left arm. He has put the body on the line and helped the Vipers beat the high-flying MI Emirates by 2 wickets in a last-ball thriller in Dubai. Fuller-length delivery outside the off-stump. Shaheen stays deep in the crease, clears his front leg, and swings hard at it. Slices it away towards deep backward point for a triple as Andre Fletcher runs to his right from sweeper cover and gets to the ball, throwing it to the keeper, who collects and throws it to Boult, but Shaheen dives to make his ground! What a game of cricket we have just witnessed!
3 needed off 1 ball. 2 needed to tie this game. Can Shaheen Afridi win the game for his side?
19.5 T Boult to L Wood
1 Yorker length at the leg stump. Wood digs it out to long-on for only a single. The fielder in the deep comes around and releases the throw quickly to keep the batters down to just 1.
