2 consecutive Test wins for the Indian women's side! ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†
Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur receives the silverware. Wonderful moment on the field as Australian skipper Alyssa Healy is out there with her camera and clicking the Indian women's team picture. Debutant Richa Ghosh holds the trophy up, a remarkable debut for the youngster.
Harmanpreet Kaur (India Women Captain): "Well, I think it's a reward for all the hard work we have done for so many years. And credit goes to all our sports staff, especially our bowling coach, and batting coach. They have done really hard work on us and I think, yeah, we tried to keep things very simple and I think it's a reward for all the hard work, all the patience.

Yeah, we just thought if we can play a little positive cricket, that can really help us because we have been playing with this bunch of group for so many years and we just thought if we can do a little bit of shuffle here and there and let's see how they can perform. And that was the only reason we put Richa up on the order, because we know how she can bat and how if she's there, she can damage the game. And that was the reason we put her there because we didn't want to go back to that defensive cricket. We just want to keep doing the hard work and keep putting the pressure on them.

Well, we just thought we just need to stay in the moment and keep doing the hard work. And yeah, we tried our best. If we can get them in the second inning when they were batting, but in between, the partnership helped them to put some decent total on the board.

But still, we showed that trust in our bowling unit, and then our sports staff asked me to bowl and got those wickets at that time. I think everyone in the team, contributed and everyone was there to win the game for the team.

Well, as I earlier mentioned, our bowling coach, is only telling them to think about how to take wickets and if you can keep thinking about you will definitely get don't think about being defensive at any cost because we have played that type of cricket for so many years now just think what best we can do what next we can bring to the team and I think that's really helping us and we just want to keep doing that.

Well, firstly I want to thank BCCI for giving us this opportunity, and secondly all our selectors have given us the best side and shown trust in each and every member of the team. I think when everything works together you always get positive results for the team and I think hopefully after these two wins we will get many more test games in upcoming years. Thanks to all the crowd, they have been there for all four days I think you know everything went really well for us."

Sneh Rana (Player of the Match): "It feels amazing standing here receiving this award and a fantastic win by our team.

No one was calling me a nightwatchman as everybody knows I can do it. But I was batting with Smriti for the first time and we were enjoying each other's company so I didn't feel I was a nightwatchman.

Whenever the captain tosses the ball to you, it comes with a responsibility and I always try to I come out good on the captain's confidence.

Misfields and dropped catches are a part of the match. Whoever the fielder is in the position wants to do well and contribute for the team. I have been in that position myself when a chance goes begging so I don't feel bad, I try to make a stronger comeback.

This performance rates the highest as India is hosting a Test match after a long time. It is a different vibe altogether. Playing a Test, it is a different team atmosphere since the last 15 days, the support is really amazing.

This is a big thing for the Indian fans as well. Playing and winning both the Tests at home will attract the players and the growing players will take the format seriously."
Sneh Rana is the player of the match!
Alyssa Healy (Australia Women Captain): "Yeah, definitely. I mean, what an amazing experience. We got to come over here and play Test cricket.

I mean, it's our first opportunity to play red-ball cricket over here. So, I mean, we're learning on our feet out here and I think the way that the girls continued to adapt right throughout the four days I think was super impressive and I guess that's why they play lots of them over here.  I thought they (India) did an amazing job at continuing to just put pressure on us, in particular with the bat, and ultimately just put too many runs on us.

I mean, I think if we had a battered for that full first day, I think that probably cost us a little bit. Obviously winning the toss batting and then getting bowled out on that first day and then probably leaking too many in the afternoon as well. Just put us on the back foot a little bit.

So, look, I think if we even had a nudged over 300 and given ourselves an opportunity to bowl on the second day at them after a day in the field, it probably would have been a different prospect. You've got to execute right throughout the four days and we weren't able to do that. But it's a lovely experience to play Test match cricket."
Time for the post-match presentation.
CREX Player of the day: Rajeshwari Gayakwad

She was unlucky in various periods of the game beating the edges on occasions and also some dropped catches didn't help the cause but on an important 4th day she put up a wonderful performance in the morning session picking the 2 wickets of Kim Garth and importantly Jess Jonassen to help India bundle out Australia early and set a 75-run chase.
Jemimah Rodrigues: "Test cricket was something I always wanted to play. Nothing like winning 2 Tests and scoring 2 back-to-back half centuries, Christmas has come early.

Even before the domestic season had started, I had set myself few goals to be more consistent. If I can score consistently for my team, then my team can go on and win whether its for Mumbai or India. So that was the goal I keep working hard towards that and don't think of the results. I want to be consistent with the process, doing that the results will follow.

They have inspired me a lot now to bowl. There was a lot of turn and bounce on this surface. I am from Mumbai so I would have contributed a little more but I leave it for the bowlers. I will come back stronger."
Smriti Mandhana: "It wasn't that difficult to bat. When we saw the wicket before the match, we thought it's going to be a rank turner but if you applied yourself batting wasn't that hard. Credit to all the batters. In the first innings, the way Deepti and Pooja got us back in the game, that was the partnership that for me, won us the game.

I told Shafali that we will just bat as we did in the first innings, watch the ball and play. Nothing too fancy, not to set any mindset that we have to play in such a manner. We both bat best when we react to the ball so that was the only message we had. We both discussed the same thing but she was unfortunate despite starting off with that cover drive.
Pooja Vastrakar: "Yeah, feeling very happy after winning for the first time against Australia in Tests. I focus a lot on my batting, but my plan was to not bowl in the final innings, and me and Deepti were discussing batting till the end of the day."
