That's all from our live coverage from the first qualifier of the Legends League Cricket 2023 between Urbanrisers Hyderabad and Manipal Tigers. Urbanrisers Hyderabad are off to the final defeating their opposition by 75 runs.

Suresh Raina(Urbanrisers Hyderabad Captain)- "Playing the play-offs with the yellow jersey is common(laughs!). We lost a few wickets but we never lost the momentum. Smith was brilliant, Mann gave him good assistance.
We knew that the wicket was too good. So we never felt over-confident even after posting over 240. If you go through the overs, they posted almost 100 runs at the 10th over but they kept on losing wickets. Our bowlers were good. Trego was brilliant. Jerome was expensive but took wickets.
Our spinners always does their job. They have a good heart. Hopefully we will win the final a few days after and will celebrate on a higher note."

Mohammad Kaif (Manipal Tigers Captain): "Yes, I think so. We gave too many runs. 200 was gettable. 250 was way too much. We lost too many wickets and that happens since we were chasing a big total. That happens.
The bowlers bowled badly and did not hit the right lines and lengths and Smith was terrific as well. In batting we were good. Perera was good for us. We need to look at bowling and fielding. Those two areas need to be addressed.

Not much change in the process from the last game was looking to take it deep. There was no much movement. We needed to get a score above 200 and were happy after getting 250 and defend it as well."

After coming to bat first winning the toss, Dwayne Smith and Martin Guptill came to bat for the Hyderabad side. Guptill got out cheaply but Smith continued his carnage. He got Rikki Clarke with him, who scored a blistering 34. After Rikki's dismissal, skipper Suresh Raina got out for 2 run only. After that Gurkeerat Singh Mann and Dwayne Smith started to hit hard and registered a 107 run partnrrshp between them. Mann got out for 39 and Smith continued to hit. He was unstoppable until the penultimate over. He got out scoring 120 runs of 53 balls with 14 fours and 7 sixes. Asghar Afghan played a beautiful knock of 23 off 8 balls. Peter Trego scored 18 off 7 balls and Hyderabad posted 253 runs on board losing 6 wickets.
All the Manipal bowlers were expensive but Pankaj Singh and Thisara Perera took a couple of wickets for the Manipal side.
Coming to chase the score, Manipal Tigers got a few boundaries but none of their top order batters played a big knock. Chadwick Walton(10), Kyle Coetzer(15), Colin de Grandhomme(15), Amit Verma(16) and Mohammed Kaif failed miserably. Angelo Perera for their side, hit a few big hits and scored 73 runs off 30 balls with 7 boundaries and 5 maximums. That knock was the reason that the Manipal side reached to the 178 run mark.
Peter Trego was the star of the bowlers picking up 3 wickets giving just 8 runs away. Jerome Taylor got 3 wickets but gave 47 runs away. Stuart Binny picked up 2 wickets and the remaining wicket was taken by Rikki Clarke.
