That also brings an end to our coverage of this game. The weather forecast looks clear for tomorrow, and we should hopefully see some cricket. For now, this is me Hiren Kumar signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Saptak Sanyal, and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. CHEERS!!
20:03 IST and Local Time | MATCH ABANDONED!!!!! The groundsmen tried their best to produce a game but the playing conditions were poor and considering the safety of the players the Umpires decided to call this match off. The spectators are going back, the skippers are having a handshake in the middle.
20:00 IST and Local Time | The DJ is playing some good music and is keeping the crowd entertained. There are still some wet patches on the ground of which the Umpires are concerned. The super soppers are steadily doing their thing. We should get an update soon.
19:45 IST and Local Time | The umpires are on the pitch for the inspection. We can see the groundsman is applying sand in the run-up area and the rollers are going towards the pitch.
19:30 IST and Local Time | The covers are completely removed from the pitch and the groundsmen are still working hard here. Stay tuned for further updates.
18:46 IST and Local Time - A lot movement around the pitch and the covers have also been taken off. We hope to receive some positive news soon. We will have a pitch inspection at 19:45 IST and Local Time.
Hemang Badani(India Capitals Coach)- "The mood is good and we gained confidence after the win. We want the game to happen and we want to win this.

We are enjoying our time in the middle. We don't feel the heat of champions but we want to win the tournament. If you check our results, Irfan played a stellar innings to snatch the first game away from us and later we lost the second game by inches. So I don't think our performance is bad.

For me, this is a new experience in coaching. I am handling seniors too. Kevin Pietersen, Gautam Gambhir are ultra professional cricketers and it is a good experience to manage them.

I think the LLC tournament is going up as per the standards and it will be better in future."
Chris Gayle(Gujarat Giants)- "It is my first time here in Jammu and I will surely bring more jackets for sure(laughs). It is a wonderful and competitive tournament and so many legends are playing in this tournament, that makes it special.

I got the opportunity to open with Jacque Kallis. I played with him before but I got the chance to open with him for the first time in this tournament. Actually all the guys are enjoying the game.

It doesn't matter to me if I am playing a 5 over game or a 20 over game, I hope I can make some impact. I wish we get the opportunity to play the match."

18:03 IST and Local Time | The news from Jammu is that it pelted down throughout the afternoon and now the rain has stopped. The groundsmen are working at their best to make the game happen. Stay tuned for further updates.
Hiren- Good evening Saptak and to everyone tuned in. The Capitals are at the bottom of the table but do have a good chance to bounce back in this game and also have a balanced team on paper. I feel Gujarat still have an upper hand going into this encounter.
Saptak- Time to welcome my co-commentator Hiren in the comm box. Good evening mate! The India Capitals are lagging behind in the points table. Do you think they will be able to recover from the early couple of losses today?

17:30 IST and Local Time | Hello and a very warm welcome to all of you for the live ball-by-ball coverage of the 11th match of the Legends League Cricket between India Capitals and Gujarat Giants.

Preview by AkshayaKrishna Polya:

Games are coming thick and fast in the ongoing Legends League Cricket (LLC)! India Capitals take on Gujarat Giants at Molana Azad Stadium in Jammu in the 11th match of the tournament.

At present, the Capitals are lagging behind in the ladder and are positioned at the bottom with only two points from three matches, winning one and losing two fixtures. On the flip side, things are going well for the Giants and with four points from three games, they are placed third.

The Gautam Gambhir-led side didn't have a great start to the competition but came back nicely in the previous game against Southern Super Stars to break their two-match losing streak. Gambhir won the toss and put the Super Stars to bat first. Juan Rusty Theron and Ashley Nurse picked a couple of wickets, helping the Capitals in restricting the Super Stars to 163/6. Ricardo Powell stunned everyone and ignited Dehradun with a superb century which, in the end, took India Capitals to a seven-wicket victory and helped them to get off the blocks.

After suffering a defeat in their first game against Manipal Tigers, the Giants did well to win two games on the bounce. However, they had to work pretty hard for the wins and somehow managed to get over the line in two thrilling fixtures by the barest of margins. With a muscular top four consisting of Chris Gayle, Jacques Kallis, Richard Levi and Kevin Obrien, it is certain that at least a couple of them tee off before one of the lower-order batters finishes things off in style. Rayad Emrit, Sreesanth and Rajat Bhatia, with a few others, do just enough to defend the scores posted by the giant batters of the Giants.

Can the Capitals stop the winning streak of the Giants? Only time will tell. Join us at 5:30 PM IST and Local Time on Thursday for the live coverage of this thrilling fixture!
