That's it from our coverage of this game. We will be back with more cricketing actions from around the world soon and across formats. For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Deepak Prakash, and Saptak Sanyal (first innings), alongside scorer/analyst Bishal Mandal. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodbye and CHEERS!
Tim Robinson (Player of the Match): "Yeah, I think it was impressive how Kelly came out and batted, and then in the last 10 overs our bowlers did well.

I think especially the Canterbury boys' day, they started it off well and made it difficult for us and I suppose we felt like we had to play a little bit of catch and I think they bowled well to that big side and especially with the win was an extra challenge."

Player of the Match: Tim Robinson
9:48 AM IST, 5:18 PM Local Time: An impressive win for the Wellington Firebirds as they win this game by 21 runs to maintain their good form in the competition. They outplayed Canterbury Kings in all facets of the game and deserve the win in the end.

Chasing a stiff target of 185 for the win, Canterbury Kings lost Chad Bowes early. Tom Latham and Henry Nicholls looked good for his 44 off 34 balls while Henry Nicholls scored 41 off 26 balls. But both fell at the wrong time and the Kings never really recovered. Cole McConchie scored 10 off 9 balls. Bevon Jacobs scored 16 off 12 balls. Michael Rippon was unbeaten on 25* off 20 balls in the end. 5 extras given by the fielding side as the Kings ended with 163/7 in 20 overs.

From Wellington Firebirds' point of view, a couple of wickets apiece for Logan van Beek and Michael Bracewell while Michael Snedden and Peter Younghusband picked up a wicket apiece. The bowlers did their job as they had the runs on the board.

Earlier in the game, Wellington Firebirds batted first and lost Nick Greenwood early. But from thereon, it was the Tim Robinson show as he scored a breath-taking 86 off 46 balls to set the innings up for Wellington. He was ably supported by skipper Nick Kelly who remained unbeaten till the end and scored 72* off 48 balls. These two were the chief main contributors as Wellington ended with a competitive 184/5 in 20 overs. 6 extras were given by the fielding side.

Angus McKenzie was the pick of the bowlers for the Canterbury Kings finishing with figures of 3/15 in 3 overs. A wicket apiece for Zak Foulkes, and William O'Rourke. The rest of the bowlers went for plenty of runs.

So, an impressive win for the Wellington Firebirds as they maintain their position at the top of the points table. A lot of work to do for the Canterbury Kings going ahead in this tournament.
