So, that's it from this warm up fixture between Pakistan and Australia with Australia coming out on top in the end. Switch tabs to catch Afghanistan vs Sri Lanka which is currently happening in Guwahati. Do stay tuned to our network for all other cricketing actions across the globe across formats. We will be back tomorrow with all the live action from around the world.

For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Saptak Sanyal alongside scorer/analyst Ashok Dayma. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Shadab Khan(Pakistan Captain)- "I think we have a set playing XI so today we decided to give time to our rest of the squad so it doesn't matter what the result is. We got a little bit of confidence as we played tough opponents like New Zealand and Australia. We got some ideas about the conditions. So I think we took a lot of positives from these games."
Pat Cummins (Australia Captain): "Yes, a couple of guys got a hit and definitely the preparation was great for us. Yes, for sure, Mitchell Marsh bowled well and he tried his best. Good to see the bowling and batting was great. The way Inglis and Cameron Green finished was great to see. Yes, we will have a few sessions in Chennai. It is going to be hot out there and we are looking forward to the game on Sunday. Thank You."
David Warner- "It is like playing in front of home crowd. Glad to get the support and it has been a terrific warm-up game for both the sides I think. I think our batters had a good time in the middle and middled well with the bat. Maxwell had a good time with the bat and Josh Inglish who had a tough time recently played well. I am extremely happy with the way I batted today. I thank everyone from the crowd for supporing us."
9:41 PM IST: A terrific warm up game comes to an end. Both teams will gain a lot out of this and in the end it was Australia who holds their nerve to win by 14 runs. It was a game of ebbs and flows and Australia who almost gave away the match came back well in the death overs to win the contest.

Chasing a massive 352 for the win, Pakistan started well but lost wickets at the wrong time. Imam fell for 16, Fakhar Zaman scored 22. Abdullah Shafique got 12 runs. Iftikhar Ahmed was the real star for Pakistan batting at 4 as he scored 83 off 85 balls. Babar Azam came into bat at Number 6 and was brilliant to watch. He scored a brilliant 90 off 59 balls before retiring himself. He and Iftikhar literally took the Aussies bowlers to the cleaners. Later on Mohammad Nawaz scored 50 off 42 balls. Agha Salman scored 10, Usama Mir scored 15 while Hasan Ali was the last man out for 16. 10 extras given by the Aussie bowlers as Pakistan ended with 337/9 in 47.4 overs.

The Australians used a lot of non-regular bowlers and that helped Pakistan a lot. Marnus Labuschagne got 3 wickets to his name although he was expensive to say the least. Skipper Pat Cummins got a couple of wickets for 34 runs in 6 overs. Mitchell Marsh got a couple of wickets as well. Glenn Maxwell and Sean Abbott got a wicket each as the Aussies just did enough to win the game.

Earlier in the game, Australia won the toss and decided to bat first and got a good workout for the batters as all of them chipped in. David Warner scored 48 off 33 balls while Mitchell Marsh scored 31 off 48 balls. Steve Smith scored 27 off 29 balls. Marnus Labuschagne scored 40 off 31 balls. Alex Carey scored 11. But it was Glenn Maxwell who starred for Australia as he top scored with 77 off 71 balls. Cameron Green scored 50* off 40 balls a crucial innings for him. Josh Inglis scored a breath-taking 48 off 30 balls at the end. 17 extras were given by Pakistan as Australia ended with 351/7 in 50 overs.

It was a tough day for the Pakistan bowlers in the field as lots of them went for runs. A couple of wickets for Usama Mir. A wicket apiece for Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Wasim Jr. and Haris Rauf. Haris was taken to the cleaners today as he went for 97 runs in 9 overs. It was a hard day in the office for the Pakistan bowlers.

So, Australia wins this game by 14 runs to win this warm up fixture and build good momentum ahead of the big event starting soon. Stick around to find out what the two captains has to say in Captain's speak.
47.4 M Labuschagne to H Ali
W Out!!!!!! Labuschagne tosses it up on the fourth stump line. Hasan Ali wants to go big eyeing to clear the long-off boundary. Goes hard at it but doesn't quite get the distance on the heave. The ball flies towards the right of the long off where Mitchell Marsh moves and puts in a slide to grab a very good catch and with that Australia manage to secure a 14 run victory over Pakistan in their ultimate warm-up game ahead of the World Cup.
