4:50 PM IST | Well that's all from the first game of Super Sunday in the Maharaja Trophy 2023! Switch over tabs to join our coverage of the second match of the double header!

This is Anirudh, signing off along with my co-commentator Deepak, and our scorer/analyst Yogesh! See you on the next one!
Karun Nair (Mysore Warriors Captain): "Yeah, very happy to see so much crowd coming in and supporting. We complement each other really well, as our batting styles are different so, we understand each other very well. The whole team is doing well, wear are not dependent on individuals, but happy for Karthik and hope he keeps doing well. I think all wins are good and I can't separate by good or bad, and a win is a win. I will like to keep going the same way and keep doing the same thing."

4:37 PM IST | Mysore Warriors have successfully chased this big total down and handed the Hubli Tigers their first defeat this season! Mysore Warriors win by 6 wickets and close the gap at the top of the table!

Mysore Warriors won the toss and elected to bowl fist,
and kept things quite in the early exchanges leading to the downfall of Mohammad Taha in the 4th over as the scoreboard read 14/1 after 3.2 overs. However, that did not deter his opening partner Luvnith Sisodia to put on a masterclass today.

The southpaw blazed away to a scintillating century, almost carrying his bat through the innings to score 105 runs off 62 deliveries with 7 boundaries and 7 maximums! He was well supported by crucial cameos from Manish Pandey with 33 runs off 21 deliveries and Pravin Dubey's 16 runs off 6 deliveries to power Hubli to 185/7 after the first 20 overs!

CA Karthik was the pick of the bowlers for his figures of 4/50 after his 4 overs.

Come the chase, the Mysore Warriors too made a cautious start but the opening duo of CA Karthik and Samarth soon exploded. The duo went onto score 68 runs in the powerplay before CA Karthik fell on the last ball of the 6th over. However, Mysore Warriors never looked back after that.

Samarth went onto smash 73 runs off 42 deliveries while building a crucial 75 run-stand with his skipper Karun Nair, who ended up scoring 41 runs off 25 deliveries. A triple wicket over from Pravin Dubey gave the Warriors a little hiccup but nerves were soon settled down as Shoaib Manager and Lankesh KS blazed away the remaining 43 runs to seal the victory in the penultimate over of the game.

Mysore Warriors will be elated after their victory today as they defeat the strongest team in the tournament! Hubli Tigers will now assess their game today and hope to get back to winning ways when they step out to play next!
18.5 S Singh to S Rakshith
4 That's it, Mysore Warriors win by 6 wickets with 7 balls to spare and they extend their winning streak to 4 matches, while the 5-match winning streak of Hubli Tigers has been derailed now. Full-length on the stumps. Rakshith gets his bat underneath the ball and tonks it straight over the bowler's head for a boundary to finish the game. So, in the reverse fixture, the Warriors have avenged their previous defeat.
18.4 S Singh to S Manager
1 Full length outside off. Shoaib slices it to deep backward point for a single.
18.4 S Singh to S Manager

18.2 S Singh to S Manager
1lb Good length delivery just outside off. Shoaib misses the slog on his body and sneaks a leg bye run.
Is that the killer blow from Manager? Just one more hit required to win this contest! A boundary check is in progress, and it is confirmed to be a MAXIMUM!
18.1 S Singh to S Manager
6 SIX! The Warriors are just a hit away from the victory! Full-length on the off-stump line. Shoaib sits down on one knee and flicks it towards the deep mid-wicket region for a biggie.
12 runs, 12 balls. Mysore should easily close this chase down.
