That's it for this game, everyone. We hope you enjoyed this live coverage. Do switch tabs and follow the second game of the day from this competition between Mangaluru Dragons and Hubli Tigers. For now, on behalf of Akshay Bhide, and Yogesh Kumar (scorer/analyst), this is Navjeevan Rajput signing off. Take care and stay safe.
Shreyas Gopal (Player of the Match & Shivamogga Lions Captain): "It wasn't the best start. I have always believed that wickets in hand win you matches. It was important to take till the 13th and 14th over. Try to take calculated risks as they bowled well.

I haven't practised much playing the switch hits but I try to play squarer on slow surfaces. Sharath has great hand-eye coordination and he keeps doing it for us time and again.

It's great to win three games. But if you look, we have a lot of improvements to make. When you are on the top, try to put the nail and seal the game."

16:48 IST: Time for the post-match presentation.
16:40 IST: Another topsy-turvy contest comes to a close in the Maharaja T20 Trophy. This was a thriller of a contest alright, and in the end, it was the Lions who came back roaring to win this contest and make it three wins out of three in this competition.

After being put into bat, Mystics struggled at the top. But Prajwal (43), and Smaran (40) stitched a 77-run partnership to their side ahead in the game. Both the batters lost their wickets in quick time, and the Mystics were pushed on the back foot again. However, the lower-order batters Sharath (22*) and Avinash stepped up and helped the Mystics post a decent total of 175 runs on the board. Kumar was the leading wicket-taker for the Lions as he registered 3/17 bowling his four overs. While Koushik and Gopal got a wicket each.

Coming in to chase down a target of 176 runs. The Lions had a decent start for the first couple of overs. But after that, they had a horrible collapse as they lost half their side in the powerplay overs itself. Skipper Gopal (52) and Manohar (28) came together to stitch a 71-run partnership and brought the Lions back into this contest. Gopal tried to hit one shot too many and lost his wicket. However, Shivaraj (27*) and Sharath (31*) played cameos down the order and helped the Lions cross the line with a ball to spare.

Defending their total, the Mystics pacers had a top start as Kumar and Shetty got a couple of wickets each and pushed the Lions on the back foot early. Goud, Raj, and AD got one wicket apiece but it was not enough as they could not keep the pressure on and get the key wickets later in the innings.

With this win, the Lions get on par with the Tigers at six points but stay second on the points table. It's turning out to be a struggle for the defending champions Mystics as they lose yet another game and are stuck in the bottom half of the table.
Sharath makes a statement and gets the Lions across the line. WOW!
19.5 Kumar to H Sharath
6 Sharath finishes things in style. Take a bow, HS Sharath. Takes off his helmet and lets out a big roar. Kumar attempts a yorker on the stumps but misses his mark as he bowls it right in the slot on the stumps, Sharath gets underneath this one and tonks it straight back over the bowler's head for a maximum. Thuds on the sightscreen as the Shivamogga Lions beat the Gulbarga Mystics by three wickets.
Just another single. The equation now comes down to three runs needed from two balls. Will there be a super-over?
19.4 Kumar to S Shivaraj
1 Short delivery again from Kumar and Shivaraj pulls it straight to long on for a run.
The Lions need four runs from three balls now. Which side are you rooting for??
19.3 Kumar to H Sharath
1 Short delivery from Kumar and Sharath pulls it towards deep square leg for only a single.
A dot ball and the equation now goes down to five needed from four balls. This is turning out to be a nail-biting contest in the end.
19.2 Kumar to H Sharath
0 Shorter in length on the stumps, Sharath looks to pull it but misses. It brushes his back thigh and goes towards the keeper. A loud appeal for a caught behind but turned down by the umpire. Dot ball.
Down to five needed from five now.
