And there we have it, the conclusion of an exhilarating match between Pakistan and Bangladesh. Pakistan has kicked off their Asia Cup Super 4's journey with a convincing win.

Be sure to stay tuned for more exciting cricket action from across the globe. This is Hitesh Peddurwar, along with my fellow commentators Ayan Chatterjee and Akshay Bhide (1st innings), as well as our meticulous scorers and analysts Zeeshan Naiyer and Chandan Kumar, signing off. Until next time, stay safe!
Haris Rauf (Player of the Match): "Thanks to Allah for this performance. Yes, it was hot. Have played here in Lahore for Qalandars. Expectations were there and happy to have lived upto it. There is always planning involved before every match. It varies from situation to situation. Yes, hard length and stump to stump bowling is important. The aim was not for the yorker and bowl in the right areas. See, my goal is to do well for my team. Hit short of a length deliveries. My goal is to be the Player of Asia in the end. But stick to basics and you will get your reward. Happy with the performance and team's win."
Player of the Match: Haris Rauf.
Babar Azam(Pakistan Skipper): " Yeah, the credit goes to all the boys, especially to the fast bowlers, the way they bowled in the first 10 overs, and especially Rauf was really good. Faheem Ashraf bowled very well, I saw the grass on the pitch and thought of going with the extra seamer. Whenever we play here we get great support. Yeah, we need to travel, We have already planned it before, and our support staff is taking care of the boys. I don't think there will be pressure on us in the match against India, we are just trying to give our best in every match."
Maximum Sixes of the Match: Imam-ul-Haq (4sixes)
Smart Catch of the Match: Imam-ul-Haq.
22:05 IST, 21:35 Local Time| Time for the post-match presentation ceremony!!!
Imam-ul-Haq: "I would not say it was one of my fluent innings, the ball was seaming around. I have worked on my back foot shots, and good that it worked for me today. Yeah, we discussed about net run rate, We thought that just chase the total in 36 overs, and we thought we had a chance today, luckily me and Rizwan accelerated at the right time. You know our fast bowlers are remarkable. I want them to perform this way for the next 2 months so I don't want to comment anything on it now. Not one, but all of them all bowling really well."
Shakib Al Hasan (Bangladesh Captain): "Yes, I thought we lost wickets at the start. We played ordinary shots and lost 4 wickets in 10 overs. We could have done better. The partnership between me and Rahim was good. But overall, a poor performance from us. We have to take it in our chin and move on. We have done well with the ball but with bat we have been hot and cold. We have to change that. Our seamers bowled well and unfortunately we did not get the wickets because the pitch was not that helpful. Yes, looking forward to Colombo and hope the conditions will help us a bit. Our spinners will come into play there."
21:49 IST, 21:19 Local Time| That's it!!! Pakistan has dominated Bangladesh in all three departments and has won this encounter by 7 wickets. They successfully chased down the 194-run target within just 39.3 overs.

Earlier in the game, Bangladesh won the toss and their decision to bat first after winning the toss didn't pan out as they lost four wickets in the powerplay, all credit to Pakistan's sharp pacers. Skipper Shakib Al Hasan and veteran Mushfiqur Rahim stabilized the innings, forging a valuable 100-run partnership for the fifth wicket. Shakib played a captain's knock, scoring 53 runs, but was dismissed by Faheem Ashraf.

Rahim, on the other hand, continued to shine and reached his fifty. However, the rest of Bangladesh's lineup struggled, leading to a collapse. They were eventually bowled out for 193 runs in 38.4 overs, falling short of the 200-run mark.

Pakistan's fast bowlers, led by Haris Rauf with four wickets for just 19 runs in six overs and Naseem Shah with 3/34 in 5.4 overs, delivered an exceptional performance. Their pace and accuracy proved too much for Bangladesh's tailenders, sealing a dominant display with the ball.

Pakistan's innings got off to a slow start. Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq opened the innings for Pakistan, amassing a partnership of 35 runs. Fakhar Zaman departed after scoring 20 runs.

Babar Azam, the number one ODI batter, joined Imam-ul-Haq in the middle. Babar Azam appeared slightly off-color with the bat today, but Imam-ul-Haq kept the run rate ticking. This duo mustard a partnership of 39 runs for the second wicket before Babar Azam departed with 17 runs to his name.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan steped up to partner with Imam-ul-Haq. Mohammad Rizwan displayed a positive approach and kept the run rate ticking. Meanwhile, Imam-ul-Haq continued to exhibit his batting prowess out in the middle. Imam departed after crafting a magnificent innings of 78 runs.

Agha Salman joined Rizwan in the middle, and together, they steered Pakistan to a straightforward victory. Mohammad Rizwan, continued his exceptional form, and finished unbeaten with 63 runs, while Agha Salman chipped in with a solid 12* runs to secure the win.

From a bowling point of view,  Bangladesh bowlers didn't impress much with the ball today, as they could scalp just 3 wickets altogether. Taskin Ahmed,  Mohammad Shoriful Islam, and Mehidy Hasan Miraz scalped a wicket each for Bangladesh.

Stay tuned for the post-match presentation ceremony!!!
