So, that's it for this game, everyone. We hope you enjoyed this live coverage. Tomorrow we have just one game from the WBBL which is the Melbourne derby where the Stars face off against the Renegades at the MCG. So do join us then. For now, on behalf of Soumarya Dutta, scorer/analyst Dushyant Kumar, this is Navjeevan Rajput signing off.
Darcie Brown, Player of the Match- "It feels great to be a part of a game like this. I just tried to land the ball in the right areas and not get smashed by the batters. I tried to hold on to that catch with every inch of my body as it was Sophie Devine. The crowd always gives us the extra bit of the energy and hopefully the people come out and celebrate because it has been an unbelievable season for us."

16:33 IST, 21:33 Local Time: The defending champions secure a home final this time around after registering a comfortable win tonight against the Scorchers.

After being put into bat, the Scorchers were rocked early as they were 4/15 by 5.2 overs. Sciver-Brunt (32) and Devine (30) tried to rebuild the innings for the Scorchers but once Sciver-Brunt was dismissed, wickets tumbled at regular intervals once again. The Scorchers were bundled out inside their 20 overs for 104 runs.

Bowling first, the Strikers were provided with a great start by Brown as she got two wickets in the second over. She went on to register a three-fer and was the standout bowler for them. Wellington and Gibson got a couple of wickets each, while Schutt and McGrath got one wicket apiece.

Coming in to chase 105 run target. The Strikers' batters found starts but couldn't carry on and lost wickets at regular intervals which kept the Scorchers interested in this game. However, the target was too low, and an unbeaten partnership between Penna and Wellington down the order got the Strickers across the line comfortably.

Defending their under-par total, the Scorchers were kept alive in this game by their skipper Devine who registered 3/20 bowling her two overs. King and Sciver-Brunt got a wicket as well. But the Scorchers didn't have much to defend and lost the game eventually. The Scorchers do stay second on the points ladder for now.
