5:42 PM IST, 10:12 PM Local Time | Well that's all she wrote for today folks! A thrilling encounter resulted in a morale boosting win for Melbourne Renegades Women!

This is Anirudh Modi, singing off along with my co-commentator Arijit Kundu, and our scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer! See you on the next one!
Hayley Matthews (Player of the Match): "Yeah, 100%. I knew this would go to the last over and I had to give my hundred percent best. We knew that Grace Harris is obviously a key wicket in the middle. If we were able to contain her, we could get this match done. Coyte obviously bowled well and got the massive wicket.

Yeah, really really happy. We know that we could not get to play the way we wanted to. We were disappointed with that. But with four matches still to go, we want to show that we are here for many more. We were here to take on the Brisbane Heat bowlers."
5:28 PM IST, 9:58 PM Local Time | A thriller of an encounter comes to an end as Melbourne Renegades Women have their skipper Hayley Matthews to thank for notching up their 2nd victory of the season! They defeat a valiant Brisbane Heat Women by 2 runs to seal the W!

Brisbane Heat won the toss and elected to field first,
Tammy Beaumont gave the Renegades an aggressive start which was followed up by a short cameo from Harmanpreet Kaur. At the end of the powerplay, Melbourne Renegades had scored 28/1.

Post Harmanpreet's downfall, Emma de Broughe and Hayley Matthews stitched together a fantastic 66 run-stand to put their team in a strong position. But Hancock and Harris combined to dismiss both batters before they could reach their half-century leaving the Renegades in a pickle at 141/4 after 17.1 overs.

However, crucial boundaries from Duffin and Dooley ensured their team reached a total of 169/7 after their 20 overs. Nicola Hancock was the star with the ball for Brisbane Heat Women with her figures of 4/20 from her 4 overs.

Come the chase, Hayley Matthews gave the Renegades the start they were looking for as she broke the opening partnership in the second over of the chase by dismissing Redmayne and Brisbane Heat never recovered after that.

Apart from Grace Harris' magnificent 65 runs off 36 balls, no other batter crossed the 17 run-mark. Brisbane Heat Women tried their best to stay in the game and Jonassen's 17 runs off 8 deliveries and Hancock's unbeaten 17 runs off 9 deliveries brought them to the brink of victory with 6 runs required off the last over.

But Matthews was not going to let this one go as the skipper bowled an excellent last over to give away just 3 runs and ensure her team came out on top today! Sarah Coyte was their best bowler with 3/26 from her 4 overs.

Melbourne Renegades Women will be elated with the victory today and will hope they can build on this to finish the season on a strong note. While Brisbane Heat Women will go back to drawing board and hope to bounce back with a victory in their next game!

Matthews delivers for her team! An excellent last over to help Renegades bounce back from a dreaded season!
19.6 Matthews to N Hancock
W A big swing and miss!!! Hayley Matthews have taken down the Heats in this final ball thriller. What a humdinger of a clash and finally the Melbourne Renegades manage to get the second victory of the season. Full and tossed up outside the off stump line. Hancock was early and bent low for the heave and could only under edge back to the keeper. A throw from the keeper to Matthews who whips off the bails at the non-striker's end. So a wicket to end and the Gades have won the contest.
Woah! What an over the skipper is bowling for her team! 3 runs needed off the last ball! Can Matthews hold her nerve?
19.5 Matthews to N Hancock
0 A swing and a miss!! Hayley Matthews with her calmness is delivering for the Gades now. Full and wide outside the off. Quicker one from her and Hancock slaps and misses. Two runs and we see a super over. Three runs for a victory of the Heat.
3 runs off 2 balls! It's a one hit game now for Heat! And Hancock is back on strike!
19.4 Matthews to Sippel
1 Full and slow into the left-hander. Sippel flicks it towards deep mid wicket and sets off to cross over the strip. This is some contest. Matthews has varied the line and length well.
Crucial dot ball! 4 runs needed off 3 balls!
19.3 Matthews to Sippel
0 Length delivery down the leg peg. Sippel looks to flick and misses. Not a wide given by the umpire and its a dot.
4 runs required from 4 balls, you could cut the tension with a knife here.
19.2 Matthews to N Hancock
1 Full and slow wide outside the off. Actually it got converted into a full-toss after Hancock dragged it down to long on. Four needed off four now.
19.1 Matthews to Sippel
1 Full and around the fourth stump. Sippel punch-drives it square on the off side and sets off for a solo.
