Player of the Match: Amelia Kerr
3:49 PM IST, 21:19 Local Time: Charli Knott finishes the game with a biggie! Brisbane Heat Women thump Hobart Hurricanes Women by 6 wickets to return to the winning ways.

Earlier, after being invited to bat first, the Hurricanes lost Lee for just one run. Bryony Smith and Elyse Villani provided some stability during the powerplay, but the team's fortunes took a downturn after Smith's dismissal. Poor shot selection led to the falls of Heather Graham and Nicola Carey, and Naomi Stalenberg was run out. With the team in a dire situation, the captain and Johnston initiated a recovery effort by taking singles and twos.

They later shifted to an attacking mode during the power surge. Johnston contributed a well-crafted 26 runs but lost her wicket in pursuit of quick runs. The Hurricanes continued to lose wickets towards the end of their innings, but Villani played a crucial role, remaining unbeaten on 58 runs and helping her side post a respectable 120/8 in 20 overs.

Charli Knott, Amelia Kerr, and Courtney Sippel shared a couple of wickets for the Heat, while Jonassen contributed one wicket to the Hurricanes' downfall.

In pursuit of a paltry 120 runs, Heat lost Grace Harris for a mere one run. Georgia Redmayne and Amelia Kerr started building the partnership but Redmayne failed to settle in the middle for long, departing for 16 runs off 15 balls.

Amelia continued to bat in sublime form and went on to notch up her half-century but failed to bat till the end, departing after scoring 59 runs. Mignon du Preez contributed 13 runs off 24 balls. However, Charli Knott played a cameo of 21* runs off 13 balls and helped the Heat Women cross the winning line without any hiccups.

Shabnim Ismail, Heather Graham, Molly Strano, and Hayley Silver-holmes celebrated a wicket apiece for the Hurricanes Women.
