Wanindu Hasaranga (B-Love Kandy Captain and Player of the Match):"I tried to do the basics today and that's why I succeeded with the ball. The plan was that if a right-hander gets out, a right-hander should replace him that's why I came into bat at 3 as I was the only option there and enjoyed my time out there.
We lost first two games and then bounced back well as a team. We missed Fakhar Zaman in the first two games as he gives a lot of energy.
We are a good bowling team and that's why restricted them to 117. Jaffna are a good side especially their batting and they have good batters. Happy that we did well against them.
We have to do our basics right and do them well and to the point. Does not matter who the players are. Happy to have got the win again."

Back-to-back wins for the home team as the Jaffna Kings have been outplayed today in all facets of the game. What a performance from the home team as they outplayed their opposition in all facets of the game.
Chasing 118 for the win, Kandy got off to a cautious start courtesy of their openers Dinesh Chandimal and Fakhar Zaman. Chandimal was the first to go for 22 while Fakhar Zaman scored 42 off 39 balls despite looking scratchy out there. But it was the skipper Wanindu Hasaranga who promoted himself up the order and scored a breath-taking 50 in no time. His unbeaten 52* off 22 balls powered the chase and got the job done in 13 overs.
Jaffna Kings had a low total to defend and there was hardly their bowlers could do today. A wicket for Maheesh Theekshana and Nandre Burger. The rest of the bowlers looked clueless to the onslaught of Hasaranga.

For B-Love Kandy bowling point of view, skipper Wanindu Hasaranga was the pick of the bowlers with exceptional figures of 3/9 in 4 overs. Nuwan Pradeep chipped in with 3/36 in 4 overs.
