Marcus Stoinis (Player of the Match): "Yeah. It was good fun. The boys set up nicely for me to come out swinging and happy with the win. I was going to swing at it. I did some work with the coaches before this game.
It all changed after the partnership between Maxi and Beau. It was a brilliant partnership and it helped me express myself when I came out to bat. As I hit some of the middle, it felt better and it allowed me to free up.

Melbourne Stars won the toss and elected to bowl first, but little did they know that a belter of a pitch was awaiting their bowlers. The Short brothers negotiated a well-paced start to take their team to 34/0 at the end of the powerplay.
Melbourne Stars thought they had a way back in the game when Corey removed D'Arcy Short from the equation in the 6th over. However, Chris Lynn decided to roll back the years. The Veteran Aussie along with Matthew Short blasted the Stars' bowlers for 93 runs in the next 7 overs to put Adelaide in a commanding position.
Short fell shortly after reaching his half-century but Lynn was not done yet. The danger man entered GOD MODE and stayed unbeaten to smash 83 runs from 42 balls to power his team to a monster total of 205/4 at the end of their 20 overs.

A hit-me ball from Bazley as he bowls a full toss on the stumps and Stoinis slogs it over the mid wicket fence for a biggie.
