That is the end of the last T20I series before the T20 World Cup begins in the Caribbean Islands and the USA next month. I am AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash, who, alongside our scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer, brought you all the live-action from this exciting contest. We will meet again in another game. Until then, it's cheers!
STAT ATTACK: This is only the third occasion in cricketing history, be it men's or women's, that all 11 of the players from a team either took a wicket or scored 17-plus runs in a T20I fixture. England stands third after New Zealand and Pakistan, who did it against Zimbabwe in 2015 and New Zealand at Bay Oval in 2024, respectively.
England won the series 2-0, with skipper Jos Buttler leading from the front. He posed for photographs with his teammates and the trophy.
Jos Buttler (Player of the Series and England Captain): "Yeah, I think the performance really pleased me the most. I think we worked hard in training. It's great to have everyone together, and there's a good feeling around the squad. Everyone is stepping up and performing well. They got off to a good start but the guys managed to peg it back to under par score.

I think the drive to keep improving and finding new aspects of my game to develop gives me extra energy and motivation. Throughout your career, it's important to identify areas for growth and always strive to do a bit more.

It would have been great to have two more games to expose a few more guys to different situations. However, we have a lot of experience in the group, with many guys playing in the IPL, so we're not short on cricket. It's good to get a couple of wins, and it's really important to build that winning feeling in the team.

Yeah, it's always a challenge, and selection is always difficult, but that's a good problem to have. We have lots of different options in the squad, which is important. It was great to see Mark Wood and Archer bowling together today on a wicket with some bounce. That was really exciting."
Player of the Series: Jos Buttler
Babar Azam (Pakistan Captain): "Yes, we batted well in the first 6 overs. After that, the momentum shifted England's side due to the falling of wickets in clusters. Our middle order didn't perform well. But backing it to do well in the World Cup.

England's bowling was very good. There were no easy balls. So we have to take chances. We will have to make sure that this won't happen again, especially in the World Cup. Need to sort out those things for the World Cup. A few injuries but a lot of positives. We played good but in patches. You need to be 100% to win games."
Adil Rashid (Player of the Match): "I think it was mostly about assessing the conditions and adjusting accordingly because we knew it was good despite some challenges. It was about being clever with varying the pace, bowling tight lines, and figuring out the right moments to change the pace.

As a spin department, we need to assess the conditions once we're there. We need to determine whether to bowl quicker or slower and consider how the breeze affects play. Once we're out there, we'll adjust to the conditions and figure out what's required for that day. Hopefully, as a spin unit, we can deliver what’s needed.

Well, I think preparation is key for me. If I have two or three months off, I take some time to rest and then get back into the nets to work on specific aspects of my game. I always aim to develop and improve. Hopefully we get another trophy."

2:15 AM IST and 9:45 PM Local Time: The defending champions gained a lot more confidence before moving on to the T20 World Cup as they thumped Pakistan by 7 wickets to seal the four-match series 2-0!

Coming back into the side after missing the previous one due to the birth of his third child, skipper Jos Buttler won the toss and opted to bowl first with the rain around. Pakistan openers - Babar Azam (36 off 22) and Mohammad Rizwan (23 off 16) - added 59 for the opening wicket, but they lost their way in the middle phase. Wickets fell like a pack of cards, with Usman Khan (38 off 21) watching the collapse at the other end.

Iftikhar Ahmed (21 off 18) and Naseem Shah (16 off 18) tried to add some valuable runs down the order, but Pakistan failed to bat out the 20 overs, getting all-out for 157 in 19.5 overs. Three batters didn't trouble the scorers before losing their wickets.

For England, Adil Rashid (2/27), Liam Livingstone (2/17) and returning Mark Wood (2/35) bowled fiery spells and grabbed two scalps each. Jofra Archer (1/31), Moeen Ali (1/23) and Chris Jordan (1/24) took a wicket each.

Buttler (39 off 21) and Phil Salt (45 off 24) set the chase on fire with a proper thumping to the Pakistan pace trio - Shaheen Shah Afridi (0/20), Mohammad Amir (0/27), and Naseem Shah (0/51) - in the powerplay, scoring 78 runs. The English openers added 82 runs before Haris Rauf (3/38) fought a lone battle, picking up three wickets. Will Jacks (20 off 18) was scratchy before getting a scorching yorker from Rauf. Shadab Khan (0/20) was good in his opening spell, but Jonny Bairstow's onslaught spoiled his figures. Azam Khan's dropped catches didn't help Pakistan's cause either.

The two Yorkshiremen - Jonny Bairstow (28* off 16) and Harry Brook (17* off 14) - made sure that England didn't bottle the chase as they completed it, with the latter hitting a six in the 3rd ball of the 15th over.

Stay tuned for the post-match presentations!
