Well that's it for today folks! England Women with a comprehensive win over their counterparts to lead the series 1-0!

I am Anirudh Modi, singing off along with our scorer/analyst Ghanendra Singh Thakur! See you on the next one!
Heather Knight (England Captain): "You don't drop catches and myself included but we tried something different with 4 spinners it's great to have so many options. It's definitely an option for the World Cup, Capsey could not show how she could bowl but she is outstanding. I think it's probably the best side in a few years and I think they did a really good job out there today.

Lauren Bell is out today and she is one of our pillars but we will make use of this series to test out a few options. I thought we started well with the bat and kept it going throughout, with the wind blowing, they were smarter to hit with it and give us a big score to defend.

The crowd is awesome and so is the atmosphere."
Sophie Devine (New Zealand Captain): "They put a competitive score on the board, you have to take the game on from the start and Bates started well but the others did not follow. Too many mistakes on the field today but credit to England.

They had 4 spinners today and it was upto us to play to our strengths. We have still got real belief that we can win the series. My dismissal today was horrendous and I have to take that on the chin and lead by example. We hope to put out a better performance the next time around.

We need to have consistent performances playing against a side like England and keep going through out processes."
Dani Wyatt (Player of the Match): "I try and stay calm at all times and it is always nice playing here at Rose Bowl. I am supported well by Maia Bouchier at the top. T20 is a game of ups and downs and it was nice to score some runs today.

The big six I hit was supposed to go over mid-off but it went somewhere else. You try to find the good days in T20 cricket and just enjoy them."
9:57 PM IST, 5:27 PM Local Time | England with a dominant performance to record their highest victory margin over New Zealand today to take a 1-0 lead in this 5 match T20I series! They defeat the visitors by 59 runs to take home the W!

New Zealand won the toss and elected to bowl first, and in hindsight it may not have been the better decision. On the back of Dani Wyatt's 76 runs from 51 balls and her two partnerships with Maia Bouchier and Nat Sciver-Brunt, England managed to register a total of 197/3 in their 20 overs.

Come the chase, New Zealand lost Plimmer early but Suzie Bates and Amelia Kerr gave them a bit of hope as the White Ferns ended the powerplay on 45/1 after 6 overs. However, the worst was yet to come as first Dean dismissed Kerr for 18 runs from 16 balls and a triple wicket over from Sarah Glenn killed off the match for England!

Jess Kerr tried her best towards the end of the innings but her 38 runs from 26 balls were in vain as England won the match comfortably, thanks to some excellent bowling.

Sarah Glenn was the pick of the bowlers with 3/16 from her 4 overs.
