Milestone
That's it from our coverage of this game. We will be back with more cricketing actions from across the world tomorrow. Until next time, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash alongside scorer/analyst Yogesh Kumar. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Laura Wolvaardt (South Africa Women Captain): "Yeah, I think that finish was incredible. I think around 120 runs partnership after the situation we found ourselves in, I think yeah. Chloe looked like she was batting on a different wicket from everyone else and Nadine did amazingly well to stay with her. Yeah, I found it a bit difficult to get going and to get the ball through the inner ring. It was a bit on the slower side, so it was tough to start my innings, and yeah, unfortunate that I went out when I did, but it looks like it was a good thing because it got Chloe in a bit earlier.

[Talking about Nadine de Klerk] Yeah, she's been playing incredible cricket. I'm really excited to see what the future holds for her. She's just such a talented player with the bat and with the ball and she just always offers something every single game. So I'm really proud of her."
Sophie Devine (New Zealand Women Captain): "Look, we were 3 down for nothing and get to 240 was great. credit to South Africa for putting us under the pump and lost our way in the end. We lost in the field and with the bat and hope to come back strong in the next game. We have got a couple of days to recover and some positives to work with. Halliday and Rowe batted well and so areas to work on and a 2-day rest before we come back for the next game. Thank You,"
Nadine de Klerk (Player of the Match): "Yeah, look, I think we got put under the pump a little bit. We had a really good start and then they had a really big partnership throughout the middle. So, yeah, look, I think a lot of learnings from this game, but really glad that we could get over the line, and just really great to get together with Chloe who's been missed in Pakistan, and to put up a match match-winning partnership has been great."
Player of the Match: Nadine de Klerk
Time for the post-match presentation.
8:16 PM IST, 4:46 PM Local Time: A good win for South Africa Women as they overcome a spirited challenge for New Zealand Women to win this game by 4 wickets with 17 balls to spare. They have played better than their opposition in all facets of the game and deserve this win over the visitors.

Chasing 236 for the win on a tricky surface, South Africa lost early wickets much like New Zealand earlier today. Skipper Laura Wolvaardt held the innings together and scored 50 off 75 balls. She was assisted by Marizanne Kapp who scored 27 off 38 balls. They were in trouble at 111/5 but recovered to get the win thanks to the Nadine de Klerk and Chloe Tryon show. The duo took charge and almost got the win themselves with Klerk remaining unbeaten on 58* off 77 balls. But it was Tryon who was the aggressor and took the game away from New Zealand with her breath-taking knock of 71 off 58 balls. 15 extras were given by the fielding side. The target was achieved in 47.1 overs.

The New Zealand bowlers tried their hearts out but lacked the cutting edge for the win. A couple of wickets apiece for Jess Kerr and Hannah Rowe. Eden Carson and skipper Sophie Devine got a wicket each under their name. But it was not enough in the end.

Earlier in the game, New Zealand Women were rocked early after being put into bat first. Their top 4 were blown away for 38 runs and were reeling at 55/5 at one stage. Amelia Kerr at the top of the order scored 22 while Plimmer scored 12 as well. But the rescue act was done by Brooke Halliday and Hannah Rowe. Halliday scored 76 off 92 balls while Rowe scored 52 off 72 balls which was her maiden ODI fifty. Isabella Gaze scored 26 off 24 balls. Jess Kerr's cameo of 19* off 7 balls alongside 17 extras helped New Zealand get to 235/8 in 50 overs.

For South Africa, Masabata Klaas was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3/60 in 9 overs. A couple of wickets for Nadine de Klerk who had a good all round game today. A wicket and an economical spell for Marizanne Kapp and a wicket also to Ayabonga Khaka who was taken to the cleaners in the end. All in all, a good bowling performance from South Africa while their batters backed it up as well.

So, South Africa Women win this game by 4 wickets with 17 balls to spare to take a 1-0 lead in the 3-match ODI series, Stick around for the presentations.

46.5 S Devine to Tryon
W WICKET! The partnership has been broken but it's too late for the visitors. Full-length straight on the middle stump line. Tryon looks to heave it across the line of the ball and finish the game but misses it completely as the ball goes on to disturb the furniture.
Boundary check here and it has bounced inside the ground. One bounce and over the ropes. Scores are level.
46.4 S Devine to Tryon
4 FOUR! The scores are level now! Full-length seaming around off-stump line. Tryon gets her bat in the line of the ball and thumps it over the mid-off and the ball falls just short of the boundary ropes.
46.3 S Devine to Tryon
2 Full-length around off-stump line. Tryon whips it to deep mid-wicket for a couple of runs.
46.2 S Devine to Klerk
1 Full-length on the stumps. De Klerk drives it straight past the bowler for a single.
46.1 S Devine to Tryon
