Siddharth Mhatre (Player of the Match): "Yes, it was a bit nervy as I faced the hat-trick ball. But I backed myself to do it. i knew I could finish the game for the team. Fortunate to play under this management and under Kedar and playing in MPL. Yes, looking forward to the final tomorrow."

This platform is for them., Those who are not able to shine yet. I am happy for Siddharth Mhatre. Top three senior players were back and he batted very well. There was tremendous pressure."
Rohan Damle (Puneri Bappa): "Initially, the ball was not coming well. But Abhimanyu and Suraj took us to a good score and then the bowlers tried well. But they did well in the end to win the match. 10:27 PM IST: So, that's the end of the game. Mhatre hits the winning runs as the Kolhapur Tuskers advance to the finals of the Maharashtra Premier League 2023 knocking Puneri Bappa out of the tournament. They outplayed their opponents in all faces of the game to win this contest by 5 wickets.
Chasing a gettable score of 134 for the win, the Tuskers lost their form openers early as skipper Kedar Jadhav and Ankit Bawne went early. Shaikh scored 24 off 23 balls. But it was Mhatre's 58* off 41 balls alongside Autade's 24* off 14 balls that helped the Tuskers recover from a hole and eventually get to the target in 17.4 overs.
Sachin Bhosale was the pick of the bowlers for Puneri Bappa as he picked up 3 wickets with the new ball finishing with 3/33 in the end. A wicket apiece for Damle and Borude. But it was too less of a total to defend in the end.
Earlier in the game, Puneri Bappa never got going as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Taiswal scored 18 off 14 balls. But the others fell away and they were reduced to 68/7 at one stage. Sanghvi scored 17 off 23 balls. Shinde scored 26* off 21 balls. The impact player Abhimanyu Jadhav scored 42* off 21 balls as Puneri Bappa scored 133/7 in 20 overs.
Darekar was the pick of the bowlers for Kolhapur Tuskers as he finished with 3/29 in 4 overs. He was ably supported by Taranjit Dhillon who picked up a couple of wickets in his 4 overs and gave away 20 runs. A wicket for Pore and Tuamad as well. Monu Yadav went wicketless and so did Sachin Chavan. But a good bowling performance and then a good batting performance helped the Tuskers get over the line.
