Milestone
That brings an end to our coverage for this game. Do join us tomorrow for the second qualifier where MI New York will face the Texas Super Kings. For now, this is Megh Mandaliya, signing off, on behalf of Akshay Bhide and scorers Zeeshan Naiyer and Dushyant Kumar. Good Day.
Wayne Parnell (Seattle Orcas Captain): "Winning any game in the playoff is really special. The guys have been unbelievable so far. One more to go. Yeah, it was a bit of tricky. At the toss, I was 50-50. I think the wicket tends to play better when the lights are on. But I think to restrict them to that total as a bowling unit and just the class of Quinton de Kock was really amazing."
Faf du Plessis (Texas Super Kings Captain): "It's a bad day at the office. I thought coming here, the pitch was going to be slow. Felt the wicket got better to bat on in the second innings. In the first innings, there were puffs of dust coming up. But credit to those guys for coming out on top. A big wake-up call for us before tomorrow. The beautiful thing about tomorrow is that it is a new day and presents an opportunity for us to come out fresh."
Quinton de Kock (Player of the Match): "To be honest, I did not to come back and play another game of cricket tomorrow. I have got some golf plans. We haven't had much practice time. It's a quick tournament. It was all about what I have done in the past. I am not too sure. I am sure there would be some celebration. Yeah, would love to finish this tournament on top."

Time for the post-match presentation.
Harmeet Singh (Seattle Orcas): "Any tournament when you are starting, you want to win it. It is really special. It is going to be stunning on Sunday night in the final. We had decided that the pitch has helped the spinners and we will just bowl stumps to stumps line. Even in the 17th over, I backed my strengths and it benefitted me. We have really dominated today and it will help us in the final on Sunday. (On Pravin Amre) He is my childhood coach. So it was really good to see him get here. He is always positive. Even if we lose the game, he really talks positively and it helps us."
9:34 AM IST, 11:04 PM Local Time | There it is! We have our first finalists of Major League Cricket. An exceptional all-round performance from Seattle Orcas has propelled them to the inaugural Final of the competition. They were the table-toppers and they certainly played like one. Seattle Orcas have thumped the Faf du Plessis-led side by 9 wickets to advance to the summit clash. It seemed like both teams were batting on a different surface altogether. It was a lackluster performance from Texas Super Kings but they will have another opportunity as they will take on MI New York in the Challenger.

Chasing a below-par total of 127, Juan Rusty Theron gave Seattle Orcas an early setback by outwitting Nauman Anwar 2(6) in the second over. Following the early departure of Anwar, Shehan Jayasuriya joined forces with Quinton de Kock and steadied the ship. Quinton brought out an array of alluring drives inside the powerplay and released some pressure. Jayasuriya, on the other hand, was playing the ball late and rotating the strike.

The left-handed duo of Quinton and Jayasuriya propelled the Orcas 38/1 at the end of the powerplay and dictated the play well in the middle overs. The Super Kings also strayed in lines and allowed Quinton to play with calculative aggression. The South African opener kept collecting boundaries at regular intervals and registered his half-century in the 11th over. The Super Kings were lethargic in the field and failed to capitalize on the opportunities presented. Quinton 88*(50) and Jayasuriya 31*(34) remained unscathed and notched up a magnificent 117-run partnership for the second wicket.

Earlier in the day, after winning the coin flip and electing to bat first, Devon Conway powered the Super Kings to a blistering start with a boundary off the first ball. The southpaw took the aerial route straightaway in the contest and pushed the Orcas on the backfoot. However, Imad Wasim exacted retribution in his next over and dismissed the out-of-form Faf du Plessis for 5(8). Devon Conway played a breezy knock before he threw his wicket away right at the end of the powerplay.

The Orcas’ bowlers slowed down the proceedings after dismissing both openers. Milind Kumar 5(10) and Cody Chetty 24(21) succumbed to pressure and holed out in the deep eventually as Super Kings were reduced to 63/4. The bowlers controlled the game beautifully and never allowed the Super Kings to have the whip hand in the contest. Daniel Sams kept pegging away and accumulated a valuable 26*(25) and gave bowlers something to uphold. Andrew Tye (3/32) mixed his pace well and was the most successful bowler for the Orcas. Stick around for the post-match presentation!

15.1 M Santner to S Jayasuriya
WD A wide to finish the game and the Seattle Orcas become the first team to qualify for the final of the Major League Cricket. Santner from over the wicket tries to surprise Jayasuriya and bowls a bouncer but way outside the tramline in the off side and the umpire signals it as wide. With this, the Seattle Orcas win the game by nine wickets as they chase down 127 with five overs to spare.

The scores are level now.
14.5 C Savage to S Jayasuriya
1 Fuller delivery on the stumps and Jayasuriya works it through the vacant mid wicket region for a single. Scores Level.
14.4 C Savage to S Jayasuriya
0 Short and well outside off, Jayasuriya goes for the cut but misses. He is disappointed on missing that one.
14.3 C Savage to S Jayasuriya
4 FOUR!!!! Another short delivery from Savage around leg, Jayasuriya gets inside the line of it and just helps it on its way over leaping Conway behind the stumps for a boundary. Just two required now to win the game.
14.2 C Savage to Kock
1 Savage follows up with a short delivery and de Kock mistimes the pull towards long on for a single.
14.1 C Savage to Kock
4 FOUR!!!! Clean ball-striking from de Kock is on display here. A length delivery well outside off, de Kock lofts it nonchalantly over extra covers and collects a boundary. Falls just short of the ropes and the Orcas find themselves in touching distance of the finishing line.
