That brings us to the end of the coverage of this fantastic encounter between the India and West Indies. The Windies sealed a fantastic victory, leveling the 3-match series at 1-1.

Do join us for all the upcoming games from all around the globe. For now, it's me Hitesh Peddurwar signing off along with my co-commentators Deepak Prakash and Ayan Chatterjee (1st innings) and scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. Stay Safe and have a fantastic weekend!!!
Shai Hope(Player of the Match and West Indies Captain): " Whenever I contribute to the team, I feel happy. I think when things are difficult to score on this surface, we need to score hard. We need to make the fielders in the deep run and collect the runs.

Very satisfied to be honest, like I said in the previous game we want to come back and level the series and we have done it. We gotta win the next game to win the series. The guys are gonna come hard again. We keep speaking about attitude, whenever we are on the field we need to show it.

We need to keep repeating it more and more, to start with the new ball it was tough, the bowlers did their job and the batters did the job in the end. We need to replicate our plans and show some good attitude."
Player of the Match: Shai Hope.
Hardik Pandya (India Captain): "See, we didn't bat like we were supposed to. The wicket played a lot better than the last one. But it's just that I think barring Shubman, everyone played their shot and kind of got out or hit the fielder directly, and yeah, disappointing, but at the same point of time, many, many more things to learn.

Yeah, absolutely. The way they opened, the way they batted throughout, and even Ishan as well, especially the way he's striking the ball. You can see that the confidence that he got during IPL is carrying forward, and it's very important for Indian cricket as well. And at the same point time, Shardul came and bowled, the way he bowled kind of brought us back into the game and kept our hopes alive.

Unfortunately, Hope battered really well and the other guy as well, who came and kind of gave him a good hand and, yeah, they hold it now, then they got the score. My body's fine. I have to bowl more overs, to get ready for the workload for the ODI World Cup as well. So slowly, slowly. I'm being a turtle right now, not the rabbit, and hoping that by the time the World Cup comes, everything goes well.

(Speaking on expectation from the guys)To be very honest, you would want the series to be 1-1 going on the third. It kind of gets the character out of everyone. Even they will be tested, we will be tested. So rather than having this game, I think the next game would be quite more exciting now for the viewers as well and at the same point of time by the players as well."

02:32 AM IST, 05:02 PM Local Time| West Indies have done it!!! They have won this game by 6 wickets and they have leveled the series by 1-1. They completely outplayed the men in blue today, who came into this encounter without their two veteran batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Earlier in the game, India's batting performance was disappointing as they failed to capitalize on the solid start provided by their openers, Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill, who put together a promising 90-run partnership for the first wicket. However, once Gill departed for 34 and Kishan for 55, India's innings took a turn for the worse, and they suffered a dramatic collapse, losing 5 wickets for just 23 runs before the first rain break. The collapse continued after the break, and the Indian batting slumped from 90/0 to a dismal 113/5. The middle order struggled to find their footing, and despite Suryakumar Yadav's contribution of 24 runs, the batting line-up failed to recover.

Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur managed to get into double figures, but their efforts were not enough to salvage the innings, and India could only muster a meager total of 181 runs in 40.5 overs. West Indies displayed an impressive performance with both their bowling and fielding.

Romario Shepherd emerged as the standout performer with the ball, wreaking havoc on the Indian batting lineup by claiming 3 crucial wickets for 37 runs in his 8 overs. Gudakesh Motie also made a significant impact, taking 3 wickets. Alzarri Joseph chipped in with a couple of wickets, while Jayden Seales and Yannick Cariah picked up a wicket each.

In pursuit of a modest target of 182 runs, West Indies began their innings positively, courtesy of their opening batsmen, Brandon King and Kyle Mayers. The duo exhibited a solid partnership, accumulating 53 runs, and appeared to be in control of the chase. However, the game took a dramatic turn when India introduced Shardul Thakur into the bowling attack during the 9th over.

Thakur made an immediate impact, delivering a fiery over that accounted for both the dangerous openers. Brandon King departed after scoring 15 runs, and  Kyle Mayers was also sent back to the pavilion, having contributed a well-made 36 runs. Thakur's spell continued to trouble the West Indies as he further dismissed Alick Athanaze in the 13th over, leaving the hosts in a spot of bother.  To make matters worse for the hosts, spinner Kuldeep Yadav joined the party and dismissed Shimron Hetmyer, who managed only 9 runs off 15 balls.

Amidst the challenging situation, the responsibility fell on skipper Shai Hope and Keacy Carty to steer the Windies' innings. These two batsmen displayed great composure and resilience, settling into the middle and forming a magnificent partnership of 91* runs for the 6th wicket. Hope, leading from the front, played a captain's innings, remaining unbeaten with a splendid score of 63 runs. Keacy Carty played a good knock of 48* runs. In the end, this duo took their team over the line comfortably in 36.4 overs.

West Indies will gain huge confidence with this victory, as they have beat India and have leveled the series now. Stay tuned with us as we will be back with the post-match presentation ceremony in a short while.
