That's a wrap up on the proceedings of this Test match and the series as a whole. Thank you for being with us through the course of this series as much as we have enjoyed in bringing it to you. Stay tuned to our network for all the other cricketing actions across the globe and across formats.

Until next time, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash alongside scorer/analysts Bishal Mandal and AkshayaKrishna Polya. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodbye and CHEERS!
Tim Southee and Shanto collect the trophy,🏆 and now both teams gather together for a photograph with the trophy.
Tim Southee (New Zealand Captain): "Yes, it was a bit of a scrap and nice to come out on top. I think the guys trusted the way they played. Like Phillips and Santner played aggresssively and then had their role to do that.

Yes, it is and at times in the first innings Bangladesh showed that we had to show intent. The wicket was such that we had to attack as a ball had a name to it. Yes, it is not easy.

The bowlers stuck to their plans and Ajaz was superb with the ball. Nice to win and the guys showed a great fight out there.

It is great to win such a game and we will have a great safe travels back home from here. Good game and enjoyable Test match to say the least."
Taijul Islam (Player of the series): "We played well, but if we had won this series, then it would have been even better. Overall, we gave our hundred percent, but we could have done better. I am happy, but I would have been more happy had I contributed to the team's series win."
Player of the series: Taijul Islam.
Glenn Phillips (Player of the Match): "Yes, I think at the end of the day that 8 runs mattered a lot. We pride ourselves of fighting till the end and glad we did that. The spinners did well and Tim with the ball. Bangladesh bowlers did well to come out on top and then to pull it back to chase 137 was a great effort. The intent was there and I stuck to my strengths and Mitchell Santner played well. Yes, credit to Santner as he batted really well with great maturity out there. Credit to him and credit to all the members of the team for this win."
Player of the Match: Glenn Phillips.
Najmul Hossain Shanto (Bangladesh Captain): "The bowlers bowled really well and very proud of how everyone chipped in on the field. We played very well in the first match,  this game we had our opportunities, we couldn't take them. There are lots of positives from this series and the boys are ready for the series against New Zealand."

2:43 PM IST, 3:13 PM Local Time: What an absorbing Test match we have had in Mirpur in Dhaka. A low scoring thriller which went from one team to another and in the end, New Zealand hold their nerves to win the game by 4 wickets and level the series 2-match series 1-1. They were in trouble but thanks to Glenn Phillips and Mitchell Santner that they have got over the line. They shared an unbeaten 70-run stand for the 7th wicket and won them the game.

Let's recap how things panned out in this Test match. It was Mominul Haque who won the toss and decided to bat first on a tricky surface. Bangladesh lost wickets at regular intervals with Mushfiqur Rahim top scoring with 35 while Shahadat Hossain Dipu scored 31. Mehidy Hasan Miraz scored 20. But no one really got going as they were bowled out for 172 in the first innings. Mitchell Santner and Glenn Phillips got three wickets each while Ajaz Patel got a couple of wickets to his name. Tim Southee got one wicket to his name as well.

In reply, New Zealand also lost wickets at regular intervals and were reduced to 46/5 at one stage. But it was the Glenn Phillips show as he scored a quick fire counter attacking 87 off 72 balls. Contributions from Kyle Jamieson and Tim Southee lower down the order helped them get a narrow 8-run lead as they were bowled out for 180 in their first innings. Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Taijul Islam got 3 wickets apiece while Shoriful Islam and Nayeem Hasan got a couple of wickets each to their kitty.

Bangladesh in their second innings lost wickets at regular intervals. They made a promising start today but lost their way thereafter as they lost wickets in clusters. Only opener Zakir Hasan stood tall with his 59 off 86 balls. The rest of them flattered to deceive as they were bowled out for 144 in the second innings. Ajaz Patel was the chief destroyer with excellent figures of 6/57 in 18 overs. He was ably assisted by Mitchell Santner who picked up 3 wickets for 51 runs in 11 overs. Tim Southee got a wicket as only 3 bowlers were used by New Zealand in their second innings of bowling.

Chasing a target of 137 for the win on a tricky surface, New Zealand lost Devon Conway early. Kane Williamson got to double figures before being dismissed. Tom Latham looked good for his 26. Daryl Mitchell scored 19. Henry Nicholls and Tom Blundell fell cheaply again. The Kiwis were reduced to 69/6 and looked in trouble. But then the duo of Glenn Phillips and Mitchell Santner took their side home with an unbeaten 70-run stand for the seventh wicket. Phillips was unbeaten on 40* off 48 balls and giving him able company was Mitchell Santner who was unbeaten on 35* off 39 balls. A good hard fought win for the Kiwis.

From Bangladesh's bowling point of view, Mehidy Hasan Miraz was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3/52 in 16.4 overs. Taijul Islam picked up a couple of wickets for 58 runs in 14 overs. A wicket to Shoriful Islam as well who picked up the early wicket of Devon Conway.

So, a win for New Zealand over Bangladesh by 4 wickets to level the 2-match Test series 1-1 and garner 12 crucial WTC points in this new cycle. Stick around for the presentations.
That's it, New Zealand win by 4 wickets to level the series, and credit goes to Phillips and Santner as the duo added a crucial partnership on this difficult batting surface.
39.4 Miraz to G Phillips
4 FOUR! That's it! Short and wide outside off, Phillips cuts it away off the back foot through the covers as the ball races away to the cover fence for a boundary to end the game. Phillips yells Come On as soon as he hit this and they deserve this win by 4 wickets to level the 2-match series 1-1.
39.3 Miraz to M Santner
1 Fuller length around off, Santner punches it down the ground to long-off for a single.
The Black Caps are just one hit away from victory now.
39.2 Miraz to M Santner
4 FOUR! Flighted full and wide outside off, Santner drives it trough the covers handsomely as the ball races along the turf to the cover fence for a boundary.
39.1 Miraz to M Santner
0 Fuller length around off, Santner steers it to the point fielder.
