So, that's a wrap on the second ODI where Afghanistan has sealed the deal by beating Bangladesh and taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3-match series. Both teams will be back in Chattogram on Tuesday for the third and final ODI of the series. Do join us for that game and for all other cricketing actions across the globe, stick around to our network.

For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash alongside scorer/analyst Ghanendra Singh Thakur. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Hashmatullah Shahidi (Afghanistan Captain): "Yeah, very happy that we won the match and series. It was a great performance by the team. Yeah, I thought the wicket was not easy but the openers had a very good start and they played very well. After the first wicket fell, it was not easy for the batters, but it was a good total on the board.

Our bowlers improved their show in this series and they put in a lot of hard work and the results are reflecting now. We have built this team well in the last three years and we hope that our results in the Asia Cup and World Cup will be different than what it was previously."
Rahmanullah Gurbaz (Player of the Match): "Yes, first thanks to allah. After 3-4 innings, I was under pressure, but the captain gave me support and so did the coach. In the end, no pressure and I took on the bowling. The idea was to spend some time and not be in a hurry to score runs. Credit goes to Ibrahim. The way he played he is a very good player and I love batting with him. Credit to him as well. Thank you very much."
Litton Das (Bangladesh Captain): "Yeah definitely, when you win the toss and opt to bowl first, the bowlers didn't do their job. We were not up to the mark in the field and with the ball. The way Gurbaz and Ibrahim batted was outstanding, credit goes to them. As an opener, if you bat like 20-25 overs, it is not difficult. If you have wickets in hand, you can chase down a score above 300 runs in that format easily."
9:22 PM IST, 9:52 PM Local Time: What we have seen today was a professional performance from Afghanistan as they have outplayed their opponents Bangladesh in all facets of the game. This is a big win by 142 runs as they clinch the series 2-0 with a game to spare. Bangladesh were never really in it and were blown away by the Afghan team.

Chasing a massive 332 for the win to keep the series alive, Bangladesh never got going and lost wickets at regular intervals. Skipper Litton Das scored 13. Towhid Hridoy scored 16. Shakib Al Hasan hung around there for his 25. But it was the lone hand from Mushfiqur Rahim that gave Bangladesh some sort of respectability. He scored 69 off 85 balls. Mehidy Hasan Miraz showed resistance for his 25 off 48 balls. In the end, it was a bridge too far as Bangladesh were eventually bowled out for 189 in 43.2 overs with Ebadot Hossain unable to bat. 20 extras were given by the fielding side.

The Afghanistan bowlers were disciplined with the ball. Fazalhaq Farooqi was the pick of the bowlers as he started it and finished it with 3 wickets for 22 runs in 7.2 overs. Mujeeb Ur Rahman had a good day with figures of 3/40 in 10 overs. A couple of wickets for Rashid Khan as he bowled 9 overs for 28 runs. Mohammad Nabi picked up the other wicket to fall as he sent down 6 overs for 29 runs. All in all, a great bowling effort from Afghanistan.

Earlier in the game, it was all about the opening combination of Afghanistan after they were put into bat first by Litton Das. The opening duo of Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran dazzled away in Chattogram as the duo put on a record breaking 256-run stand for the opening wicket. Gurbaz slammed his highest individual score as he made 145 off 125 balls. He was ably supported by Ibrahim Zadran who scored exactly 100 off 119 balls. They lost their way a bit after this amazing start. Najibullah Zadran scored 10 and Mohammad Nabi's unbeaten 25* off 15 balls. took the score to 331/9 after 50 overs. As many as 33 extras were conceded by Bangladesh today in the field.

One felt the Bangladeshi bowlers came back well with the ball towards the end. A couple of wickets apiece for Mustafizur Rahman, Hasan Mahmud, Shakib Al Hasan, and Mehidy Hasan Miraz. While a wicket also fell to Ebadot Hossain who limped off the field after twisting his knee. As a result, in the chase, he could not come out to bat. A tough day at the office for Bangladesh with very few positives to take out from.

So, Afghanistan wins by 142 runs to clinch the series 2-0 with a game to spare. Stick around for the post-match presentation ceremony.
Ebadot Hossain won't come out to bat due to injury. Afghanistan win by 142 runs, and this time they have won the ODI series against Bangladesh.
43.2 F Farooqi to M Rahim
W WICKET! Short of a length into the pitch, Rahim pulls it away straight to the deep square leg fielder. The catch is taken by the fielder in the deep as Farooqi finishes things off in style Rahim departs here as the 9th wicket goes down here. With Ebadot unable to bat here, the game is done and dusted.
The ball has hit Mustafizur on the skull protector and the physio comes out to the middle for a mandatory concussion test.
43.1 F Farooqi to M Rahman
1lb Short of a length, Mustafizur pulls it uppishly to the square leg region for a single. The ball hit his helmet and so as per protocols, it will be checked. Leg byes signalled.
