Well that's all from this match folks! Hop tabs to join our coverage from around the cricketing world!

I am Anirudh Modi, signing off along with our scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer! See you on the next one!
Mitchell Marsh (Australia Captain): "Thought it was a good game, and 220 was probably a par score on this wicket, so we needed every bit of 240. He has always done it, achieving the unachievable, we are incredibly lucky to have him.

We have been playing some good T20 cricket over the past few months and I think we won the key battles in the game because they too are a formidable side who bat down to no. 10."
Rovman Powell (West Indies Captain): "I think the boys showed courage. We started well but we kept losing wickets. We needed a big partnership like the Aussies but credit to them, they bowled really well.

If you are gonna get close to this then you need wickets, and it's either you get really close or lose badly in chasing 240. It's very difficult to defend against Maxi, the wicket is good and has very good skills.

If we can save a few more runs on this wickets and take off that 20-25 runs from 240, we probably get the win. The guys are still confident and upbeat about beating the Aussies but it's going to take a bigger effort from our boys."
Glenn Maxwell (Player of the Match): "I probably just did not hit the gaps straight away from the outset, but it was such a beautiful pitch and was expecting too much early on but once I got in the boundaries started flowing and I started to enjoy myself.

As soon as he bowls that swinger to go for that shot and I was proud of that, but it was important to take a bit of time in the middle before swinging hard. Over the last 18 months I've felt pretty good about my game, it can sometimes feel nice and easy and other times you can knick it early, so just trying to do my best.

It's a difficult position and there are so many different scenarios and change the momentum of the game and I love it."
Time for the post match presentation ceremony..
Spencer Johnson: "It's pretty cool to do it in front of my friends and family. In the backyard with my brothers and coming here when I was growing up, I love this stadium. There's my family and 20 or so friends here.

Everything I step into a new level, and to compete out here, it's pretty pleasing. That was quite special when the ground announcer announced my name to the crowd, something I thought would never happen but it's happening now, so it's special.

I've watched Pooran play all around the world and his striking but the knowledge of the home turf may have helped me. He was actually unbelievable and he said before the game that he was going to get a 100.

The World Cup is on everyone's mind, we have just won the ODI world cup and the team is going to similar, so looking forward to perform everywhere I play."
5:21 PM IST, 10:21 PM Local Time | A strange finish to the game but Australia on the back of Maxwell's magic defeat West Indies by 34 runs to go 2-0 up in this T20I series! A high scoring encounter comes to an end and West Indies are left with a tall ask to make a comeback in this series.

West Indies won the toss and elected to bowl first, and it was Maxwell mania as the big show bludgeoned West indies for an unbeaten 120 runs off 55 balls to help Australia set a monster total of 241/4 at the end of their 20 overs.

Come the chase, the West Indies batter announced their intentions as they kept swinging at everything and the Aussie pacers took advantage. 4 wickets fell in the powerplay and West Indies never really recovered.

Losing wickets at regular intervals, they left themselves with too much to do in the end and despite skipper Powell's 63 runs off 36 balls and good cameos from Russell and Holder, West Indies fell short of the target by 34 runs.

Marcus Stoinis was the pick of the bowlers for Australia with the figures of 3/36 from his 4 overs while Josh Hazlewood and Spencer Johnson chipped in with a couple of wickets each.

So the second T20I at Adelaide belongs to Australia and they need 1 more win to seal this series sweep but it won't be easy against a defiant West Indies side who will come out with greater focus in the next game!

0+4 FOUR Overthrows? Or is that out? The batter is in the crease! A consolation boundary to end the match! But it's Australia who have won this by 34 runs! Full length delivery, on the stumps, pushes it back to the bowler, Stoinis throws it back and deflects off the stumps to race away to the ropes!
