Milestone
That's it from all of us for this game. Keep joining us for more cricketing action all around the globe. For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of scorer Zeeshan Naiyer. Tata. Bye Bye.
Alyssa Healy (Australia Women Captain): "Probably could have been (On whether 212 was enough). She (Hayley) was dropped a few times but she played really well. At the moment, it’s about holding onto the chances and trying to take out the room while bowling to her.

We saw tonight, we were 2/7 but we ended up scoring above 200. We are prepared to do everything while trying to improve and win the game. It’s amazing. That’s the strength of our line-up. Jonassen was waiting to get out and even Grace Harris is sitting on the sidelines. We just have to go one step at a time."
Hayley Matthews (West Indies Women Captain and Player of the Match): "Think I have just more about my game. I’m trying to access different parts of the world and it has working well for me. The leadership is helping me and glad to win the game. Going out there, they are great players but really chuffed with the overall performance.

I think, we spoke about learning last night but we have bounced back. The last game was hard for us but credit to coming back and getting the job done.

We knew that we had to go hard from ball one. Taylor has gone in her element and we always bat well together. We haven’t had the best results over the last two years but coming here and winning the game is huge for us. We are incredibly proud of the girls and we are looking forward to the third game."
Player of the Match: Hayley Matthews
4:55 PM IST, 10:25 PM Local Time: PHEW!!!! What have we just witnessed? I'm lost for words. West Indies Women create history as they chase down 213 with a ball to spare. They have just thumped the Australia Women, the defending champions, by seven wickets to level the series and force it to a decider.

It was all about Hayley Matthews in the second part of the match.
Chasing a mammoth 213, West Indies Women lost Shabika Gajnabi on one in the third over. Matthews continued her rich form with the bat and was joined by her former captain Stafanie Taylor. Matthews continued her assault as she took on the charge and never allowed the Australia Women to settle.

Taylor started finding her feet against the hosts and started cutting loose. Matthews brought up her fifty and went berserk. She hit boundaries for fun and was helped by some poor fielding from the Southern Stars. She was dropped twice and she made the hosts pay a heavy price for it. Matthews along with Taylor put 174 between them for the second wicket, the highest for any wicket against Australia Women in T20Is.

Matthews was left stranded on 99* yesterday but she made sure that she got to triple figures tonight. She brought up her ton with a delightful cover drive.
Taylor brought up her fifty but fell in the 17th over. She scored 59 off 41 balls. Matthews continued her assault from the other end. She hit four consecutive boundaries against Jess Jonassen in the penultimate over before getting cleaned up on the following ball. Her knock of 132 off 64 balls comprised 20 boundaries for five maximums.

With eight required from the last over, Chinelle Henry (4*) and Shemaine Campbelle (4*) held their nerves and took West Indies Women across the line with a ball to spare. Australia Women were sloppy in the field and paid a heavy price for it as the West Indies Women managed to chase down 213 to level the series.

Earlier, the Australia Women were asked to bat first and they had the worst possible start as they lost their skipper Alyssa Healy on the very first ball. Tahlia McGrath was knocked over by Matthews on four as the Australia Women finished the powerplay with scoreboard reading 38/2. Beth Mooney along with Ellyse Perry led the recovery work. Perry played some beautiful strokes and kept scoring at a brisk rate.

Mooney fell on 29 right on the stroke of the drinks break. Ashleigh Gardner fell cheaply on two. Perry continued playing her strokes and brought up her fifty. She scored 70 off 46 balls before falling in the 15th over. The platform was set and Litchfield along with Georgia Wareham helped the hosts finish with a flourish.

Litchfield played some outstanding strokes. She hit boundaries for fun and the same was the case with Wareham as they scored 88 runs in the last five overs to take Australia Women to 212 at the end of their 20 overs. Litchfield brought up her fifty off just 18 balls, becoming the joint-fastest to score a fifty in T20Is along with Sophie Devine.

At the halfway mark, it looked like it was too much for the West Indies Women but a mind-blogging partnership between Matthews and Taylor helped the visitors get across the line in the last over with seven wickets in hand.
19.5 A Gardner to S Campbelle
2 Two runs completed and the West Indies Women win the game on the penultimate delivery. A record chase for the West Indies Women at the North Sydney Oval. This was a fuller delivery on the stumps and Campbelle mistimes the slog past diving McGrath at mid wicket. The fielder in the deep throws at the bowler's end but it was a wrong one as the batters complete two runs and take West Indies Women across the line with seven wickets in hand.
2 required from 2 now. Healy is going back now. She doesn't want to concede a bye here.
19.4 A Gardner to S Campbelle

4 required from 3 now.
