1:02 AM IST | Well that's all for today folks! West Indies with a comprehensive win over a disappointed UAE side! This is Anirudh Modi, singing off along with my co-commentator Ayan Chatterjee and our scorer/analyst Yogesh. Stay Tuned to our coverage of LIVE cricket action from around the globe! See you on the next one!
Brandon King is the Man of the Match! Shai Hope collects the trophy and the cheque on his behalf as King is nursing an injury.
Shai Hope (West Indies Captain): "There was no hurry just wanted to finish things off in style. Yes, they all bowled well and cannot single them out. Yes. Hodge was good and bowled well. Keemo bowled well as well. So, happy with it.

There were no devils in the pitch and credit to our bowlers. Yes, it was my decision to come down the order.

Great knock from King. He is an exceptional player as far as I am concerned. Nothing specific from our end, he just batted beautifully and he was a treat to watch.

Yes, we are looking forward to the next two matches and looking to win it as well. Want to win both the remaining games."
Muhammad Waseem | UAE Captain: "Yeah Ali played fantastically well today and he is very talented. The spinners bowled well and we were looking for some wickets but that didn't happen. We will take some positive points from this match and Inshallah we will improve. Yeah, I'll try my best to score some runs in the next match."
12:57 AM IST | Time for the post match presentation ceremony..
12:47 AM IST | And the skipper seals the victory for his team in style! West Indies outclass UAE by 7 wickets to take a 1-0 lead in this 3 match ODI Series! The Caribbean flair shown through in their performance today and they were never troubled by the home side.

UAE won the toss and elected to bat first, that decision backfired immediately. Keemo Paul snuck through the Waseem's gate off the second ball of the match to draw first blood for the men in maroon. UAE never recovered after that. Their struggles continued as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals without scoring many runs to ultimately be bowled out of 202 in under 48 overs!

Ali Naseer was the only shining light in their innings as the southpaw top scored with a fantastic 58 runs off 52 balls to help UAE breach the 200 run-mark. Keemo Paul was the pick of the bowlers for his scintillating figures of 3/34 from his 7.1 overs!

Come the chase, UAE's only hope was to pick wickets early and put the opposition under pressure but Brandon King and Johnston Charles had other ideas. While King picked up the role of an anchor, Charles gave West Indies a flying start with a cameo of 24 runs from 19 balls. However, it was the former who stole the show today. Brandon King notched up his maiden ODI century, falling right there at the end for 112 runs off 112 balls to guide his team to a dominant victory!

He was aptly supported by Shamarh Brooks for his 44 runs off 58 balls which laid down the platform for the skipper Shai Hope to come in and blaze two sixes and seal the victory in this 1st ODI! Aayan Afzal Khan was the pick of the bowlers for his economical figures of 1/36 from his 10 overs!

West Indies with a statement victory tonight and they will be celebrating! UAE meanwhile have plenty to think about and not just regarding this ODI series but also for the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers in Zimbabwe!
35.2 K Meiyappan to S Hope
6 SIX MORE! That's the end of the game. Flighted delivery again, Hope picks it up and slog sweeps it away over deep midwicket as the ball sails into the stands for the maximum. Hope finishes things off in style with back-to-back sixes as the West Indies win by 7 wickets with 14.4 overs to spare to take a 1-0 lead in this 3-match series.
200 up for West Indies! Just the 3 runs needed for victory now!
35.1 K Meiyappan to S Hope
6 SIX! The 200 comes up for West Indies as Hope wants to finish things off quickly. Tosses it up here, Hope slog sweeps it away over long-on as the ball sails into the stands for the maximum.

34.4 R Mustafa to B King
W WICKET! Short of a length here, King looks to guide it away to the third man region and gets the outside edge of the bat through to the keeper. Sharma does well to hold on here as a magnificent innings from King comes to an end. 3 down now for 193 in the 35th over.
34.3 R Mustafa to B King
4 FOUR! Everything he touches turns to gold. Fuller length on the pads, King flicks it away through deep square leg as the ball races away to the fence for a boundary.
34.2 R Mustafa to K Carty
1 Fuller length around off, Carty pushes it down to long-off for a single.
