2:40 AM IST, 5:10 PM Local Time | Well that's all she wrote for today folks! West Indies are off to a brilliant start in this T20I series! Join us back tomorrow for all the cricket action from around the world!

Until then, this is Anirudh Modi, signing off along with my co-commentator Deepak Prakash, and our scorer/analyst Yogesh Kumar! See you on the next one! ✌️
Rovman Powell (West Indies Captain): "I think the way we recover as a batting group, you know, after being 50/4 or 60/4, you know, I think myself and Brandon really give us an impetus to see the middle and, you know, the way the guys control the power play today was different from the other night in Barbados and, you know, guys coming the bucket and, and finishing it off. So it's a pleasing performance.

Yeah, the discussion was pretty simple, just to take them out the game as much as possible. I put that additional pressure on myself, that additional responsibility to try my best to lead from the front. It will not always happen, but at least the effort is there."

Jos Buttler (England Captain): "Probably we conceded more than what we could have restricted them to and yeah out batting order faltered again. Motie was bowling in the middle and we sent Sam to counter him but he bowled really well and we could not find a way to be aggressive against him but credit to Sam for batting so well and taking to deep.

With two leggies, different variations, which is always good to have and the objective is to take wickets, and they were great for us, but we gave away a couple of expensive overs in the middle which took the game away from us."
Brandon King (Player of the Match): "Yeah, I think it was important that you know, having lost so many early wickets have stayed as deep as possible into the innings. So that's what I tried to do. You know, obviously, if you keep losing wickets, they don't have any control over the innings and how you want to play it. So that was the objective and it worked out well for me.

I think just over the past few years I've gotten a consistent approach. My preparation has been really good as well. You train hard to try and add certain aspects to your T20 game especially, and it's been working on the field for me."

Most expensive figures for West Indies in men's T20Is:

0/66 - Andre Russell v ENG, today
2/66 - Obed McCoy v IND, 2022
0/64 - Keemo Paul v NZ, 2020
0/60 - Kesrick Williams v IND, 2019
2:26 AM IST, 4:56 PM Local Time | That's it, too little too late from Rehan as West Indies seal a fantastic victory to take a 2-0 lead in this 5 match T20I series! They defeat a wounded England in the 2nd T20I by 10 runs!

England won the toss and elected to bowl first,
and after a quite start Mayers and King recovered to establish a 43 run opening stand before Mayers fell in the last over of the powerplay! It was now time for the Rated-R duo of Rehan and Rashid to put West Indies under pressure as the leggie twins grabbed 3 quick wickets to leave West Indies reeling at 54/4 after 8.2 overs!

However, Brandon King and skipper Rovman Powell were not going to give up so early as the duo smashed a total of 80 runs together with Powell reaching a quick-fire 50 runs off 28 balls before getting dismissed. During the partnership they also handed Sam Curran the most expensive over of his career with 30 runs!

Their power-packed performance coupled with Brandon King's unbeaten knock of 82 runs off 52 balls and Russell's 10-ball 14 pushed the West Indies to a total of 176/7 after their 20 overs. Adil Rashid was the pick of the bowlers with 2/11 from his 4 overs while Mills chipped in with a couple of wickets too.

Come the chase, England skipper Jos Buttler's poor run of form continued as he gave away his wicket early in the third over to give West Indies the control of the game. While Salt and Jacks stabilized the innings with a 46 run-stand but West Indies were determined to keep the pressure on.

With required run-rate rising, Salt lost his bearings for 25 runs off 23 balls and was quickly followed by Jacks and Liam, leaving England in a difficult spot at 108/5. But it was time for Sam Curran to redeem himself in this game as the southpaw smashed 50 runs off 32 balls but despite his and Ali's best efforts, England fell short by 10 runs to hand West Indies the victory in this second T20I and take a 2-0 lead in the series.

Gudakesh Motie had a fantastic debut with the figures of 1/9 from his 4 overs but it was Alzarri Joseph's 3/39 from 4 overs that saw crucial wickets of Jacks, Salt and Curran fall at the right times to snatch the victory!
Andre Russell conceded 66 runs in his four overs, marking his most expensive spell in T20I.

19.6 A Russell to R Ahmed
4 FOUR! Rehan with a cracking shot to end a cracking game! But it's West Indies who claim the W here! Good length delivery, on the stumps, heaves it away to cow corner to send the ball crashing into the ropes!
19.5 A Russell to R Ahmed
6 SIX! Rehan grabs himself a consolation MAXIMUM! Good length delivery, on the off stump, slices it over short third and the ball flies over the boundary ropes for 6 runs!
19.4 A Russell to M Ali
1 Yorker, on the off stump, drills it to long on for a single. 2 balls of formality left.
19.3 A Russell to M Ali
0 Another dot and all West Indies now need are 3 legal deliveries, full length delivery, outside the off stump, a swing and a miss.
19.2 A Russell to M Ali
0 Full length delivery, outside the off stump, driven to deep cover but Moeen denies a single.
Mo starts the final over with a biggie. 22 needed off 5 balls now. Can Moeen Ali turn things from here?
19.1 A Russell to M Ali
6 SIX! Just the start England would have wanted! Russell begins over the wicket, full length delivery, on the stumps, Ali walks across and takes advantage of the ball landing in the slot to smoke it straight back over Russell's head for a MAXIMUM! 22 runs needed from 5 balls now.
Just 3 runs and a wicket off the last over and England need 28 runs in the final over. Russell will bowl the final over of the match.
